Come Closer Reset (1st, Ottawa T2 DE,14/10/28)

This is the runner deck I used in the Ottawa Grid End of October "Banned IDs" double elimination tournament. The premise was to have a tournament where no one was allowed to play the most popular ID from each faction (eliminating most, if not all, Tier 1 decks), and to have every player gain experience in the double elimination format.

Special rules for this tournament were:

The following runner IDs were banned:

• Noise: Hacker Extraordinaire
• Andromeda: Dispossessed Ristie
• Kate "Mac" McCaffrey: Digital Tinker

The follow corporation IDs were banned:

• Haas-Bioroid: Engineering the Future
• Near-Earth Hub: Broadcast Center
• Blue Sun: Powering the Future
• Jinteki: Replicating Perfection

The tournament starts as a double elimination, with first round seeding being random.

I was randomly seeded 6th.

This deck went undefeated during the night, albeit with some very close calls.

Thoughts on the deck:

1x PAD Campaign was a last minute throw in, as I felt I needed more money. I never saw it, so it never came into play. Reversed Accounts would probably be infinitely better as a 1-of in this deck.

2x Archived Memories is usually the MVP of this deck, allowing me to grab Celebrity Gift or Psychographics, but I think I only played 1 or 2 AM's the whole night.

2x Manhunt is a new addition to the Come Closer deck. It works well but at 3 credits for a single trace2 (4 with MN credits) per turn, I'm not sure if it is worth it. You could instead slot a Data Raven for very close to the same effect since I am not running a ton of assets (and it would increase the ice count).

Highlight of the night was definitely a runner getting into HQ and seeing my 1x Information Overload while he had 13 tags from a previous Midseason Replacements. Sadly I never rezzed it but the look he gave me when I installed it next turn facedown was priceless.
