Stupid Rich Nasir - 11-19-14

Do you feel depserado helps Nasir a lot? Is it enough for stealing NAPDs? Out of faction, the 6 influence cost of Desperado always seems hard to swallow...

So, I know that everyone hates splashing Despo, and I think Astrolabe is a decent alternative (it's probably the second best console right now), but Desperado is just so efficient for Nasir.

I do recommend trying it out. An alternative is to take Despos out and just splash D4 and Imp (losing a Stimhack).

I've never felt that Desperado didn't pull its weight.

After playing it last night, the card that wasn't pulling its weight was Pro Con. Mainly because in the absence of Mopus, there's no way to burst back up to a reasonable credit number. Despo was never bad.

Cool! There is a reason why Desperado is so played in Crim' after all.

If you want to up your credits really fast, there is not that many options (either Mopus, or Kati, or ProCo with a lot of money events you'll end up drawing).

When you Dirty Laundry archives with OoS out and Desperado, you go to 7 credits! :) That's sort of obvious, but it's the best burst econ that Nasir can get outside of Kati Jones.

Just a follow up: when I said that Pro Co wasn't pulling its weight, it's not that it was ever bad, it's that in each game I found my MOpus before I found Pro Co. In those cases, I never installed Pro Co (never needed to!).
