3rd Place Element Games Store Champ - Whizzard Ice hate Pre-

Dracon_ian 55

This is the deck I took to Element Games Store Championship in Stockport, UK. It took me to first after swiss, and 3rd in double elimination (my corp lost the two games; http://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/31373/3rd-place-element-games-store-champ-blue-sun-force-of-will).

It won all four rounds of swiss (one timed) and it's two games in top-8.

It beat HB:ETF (timed win, 6 points to 4, but with dominance), Spark, NBN:NEH, Chronos Protocol in swiss. And then Harp and HB:ETF in double elim. My corp deck failed me (going 3-1-0, and 1-2).

The deck is my MWL build, but with two [[Diesel]] rather than two [[inject]]. Put it together after playing against a similar Whizzard that destroyed my Harp deck in testing for the inter-city friendly in Edinburgh, I've been playing with the composition since - and I'm really happy with it, especially with the Diesel's which provide the vital draw for setting up.

Name of the game is mainly to kill all asset economy. Run early to force rez's to keep them poor. And kill off the ICE that's too much (I'm looking at you Assassin, Tollbooth, Eli, and Pop-Up; yes, I did spoon a pop-up so I could deep-dig RnD with medium).

The aim is to get Faust and David up as soon as you can, ideally with Wyldside. The only problem then is architect and Turning on centrals (hence Yog and Mimic as 1-ofs), Corroder is in there because it's just super against Wraparound, Ice Wall, and multi-sub barriers, and good for saving Faust cards - I think could go down to 1, really, but nice to have spare in deck. The Faust justified the Pancakes and the Levy.

Turntable and Clot; FA, nuff said, Especially with the 3 clonechips. 1 game, stole two Astros, both with counters, 1 for a 15 minutes. Without Parasite or Datasucker - which are too slow btw - Grimore is not needed.

Same Old Thing: two is the sweet number. 1 lets you recur 1 cutlery (or 1 Career Fair if desperate). The second is for Levy. Sometimes you need the second to make up for the first one getting snipped by a good player who sees it as a way to stop you refilling your deck. 3 is too many, usually you need to Levy way before you can use 3.

Cutlery: Kill the hugely expensive/annoying ICE. 1 of each. Sentry's (apart from Ichi, Archer, and Assassin) are easy to deal with, with Mimic, Faust, and David. Same ethos with Barriers but with Corroder. Codegates however, present a different problem, Tollbooth, Turing, Little Engine, even Lotus Field, are Thorns in the side, 2 spooned because of this (from a ETF meta). I think that you can swap the 2nd spoon for a Fork (or a Knife) depending on the meta.

Plascrete: Essential. Against meat damage kill, being able to Wlydside into your I've Had Worse, sit on them with Plascrete, lets you take a lot of meat damage, before you then Levy back up to start over. Kills the 12-damage Blue Sun that I corped with.

Clone Chip: I will try my damnedest to keep 3 clone chip in all my anarch decks. You want to run early and be fine to lose part of you rig, or take net damage. You also want to be able to trash them for Faust. Clone Chip lets you take risks, and play as needed.

Sure Gamble, Dailycasts, Liberated Account, Career Fair: Basis econ package. Boosted by Wyldside draw, Faust's breaking, and Whizzard's trashing credits. Would like a Kati, but too slow for this build.

Diesel, I've Had Worse, and Wyldside: You need to set up. Spending a click to draw is so inefficient. Get set up quickly (prioritizing their econ though!), and when you get to mid- to late-game you'll be dominating.

I don't stop at 12 meat damage.
