Kitty - SYNC (1st place Den Haag Store Championship)

Infectiou 35

I took this deck to a store championship in Den Haag and to my surprise it took me to 1st place (And made me the champion of a döner-store). I am not going to post the runner deck here for two reasons: 1) Unlike this deck, it didn't win every match up that day, and 2) it was a Dumblefork deck that I net-decked and didn't like that much to play.

The day before the tournament I wasn't sure if i should play it, after playtesting it, but it turned out that it did quite a good job in the current Faust-heavy meta. So, what does this deck do? Well it's a SYNC fast advance deck, it has two biotic labour and two sansans to score out the first agenda and then ride the old Astro-train home. Fast advance usually loose if they steal your agendas from R&D and HQ before can score them out and SYNC does a good job to stop them from doing so. Don't let the IC fool you, all of it says „end the run“, especially data raven and gutenberg. Runners usually face check it only once, then decide to don'T run that server again because accessing while having a tag could result in a scored „Kitty“ for you.

What i liked most about this deck is, that it is quite versatile. Some fun things to do include: - Put a dataraven in front of the sansan and see if they really want to pay two clicks and 8 credits, plus the cost to break the raven (2 cards with faust) to get rid of it. I saw runner not doing it so you could go with Fast track, instal and then advance + astro token or biotics and double advance. - Put a Kitty behind a data raven and let them score it for you. You can even advance it to pretend it's a Food or a Beale that would give you 3 Points. - Leave the kittys in archive and put a gutenberg or data raven in front of it - Put a news team behind a dataraven and pretend it's a sansan, then look what the runner is going to do with his 3 tags.

At some point in the game, the runner might have to YOLO on tags and just keep them, that's where you either flip you agenda and trash his precious wildside, daily cast and liberated accounts (because everyone is anarch and plays this stuff) or you use psychogrphics to get the remaining points.

Card choices: The agenda suits makes it easy for you to score enough points and extreme hard to do teh same for your opponent. If he scores the kitties for you and takes every news team (and they will usually do that) they have to steal 5 other agenda to get to 10-3=7. Economy is hedge fund and sweeps week and the occasional click for credit. The IC is cheap and you don't need much of it, so most of it goes to using sansans, playing biotics and advance. There are several cards that i would have liked to play 2 of each, but i didn't want to go over 44 cards: Daily Business show, cyberdex, Fast track, psychographics and Shipment from sansan. The cyberdex is mandatory and shouldn't be cut down, but you might want play around with the Shipments from SanSan and cut some other cards, because being able to score with 0 creds is quite useful or can save you the money that you need to rez IC with in the runners turn.

More IC isn't needed but I highly recommend to put one in front of archives when playing against anarchs, so they can't use it to cheaply get data sucker tokens and then insta-parasite your gutenbergs and dataravens. A single resister is very helpful there. Also put always an end the run IC in front of HQ to stop account siphons. A single wraparound had saved my ass against Faust as well as eater.

All in all this deck is a lot of fun, sicne it is more flexible then pure NEH fast advance and the news team and kitties allow for some shell games that might help you in tough situations. If you love kitties, you will love this deck. Have fun

P.S: My thanks to all players at the tournament, Den Haag meta that gave us those wonderfull tulip Snare!s and to the local döner shop that allowed us to play the last two matches after the game store had to close and need an oethr place to finish it. If this had been a scorch deck it could have called it "Döner Shop" ;)
