Thoughts on Nasir's Return

Decks are slowing. Ice is getting more and more glacial. Nasir is about primed for his return.

This is the deck I'm going to be testing out with Peddler for Nasir. I've been very happy with Cacheshop and think that Peddler just supercharges Nasir's game. He can install 22 cards for free with it, so hitting with Peddler is easy.

Stimhack has obvious affinitites with Street Peddler + Personal Workshop + Study Guide. The deck wants to maximize the amount pre-encounter credit dumps.

The deck, even without Peddler, is pretty damn consistent. Cacheshop offers Nasir a system of floating credits when he needs it.

Theorybuilding this deck for the future:

Quality Time is placeholder. If Peddler offers enough draw with Diesel, I'll probably drop it for something else. Possibly Same Old Thing, another target for Peddler.

Diesel might become Earthrise Hotel in a future build. I like both in Nasir.

People hate on The Toolbox, but you can Stimhack it out if it's on Peddler and live the dream. It also combos pretty nicely with Study Guide. I prefer it to Astrolabe, especially when you can draw with Diesel + pseudo-draw with Peddler. I think the deck could use Gordian + Astrolabe instead of Study Guide + Toolbox and it'd be just a bit less awesome.

Deck might want 1 Levy AR Lab Access.

Missing Pieces

Film Critic is nearing. Armitage might become that, or the Quality Time + something else (3rd RDI?)

Even with Film Critic, I still think Imp is necessary.

The only thing that I dislike here is Scavenge instead of Test Run. Test Run is a better effect here, and the fact that you can pawn with Test Run but not Scavenge means they cost the same to play.

@Crunchums You mean pawn (say) Lady and then use Test Run? Seems good. I do like Test Run. 3 is not an insignificant barrier for Nasir, though. With Scavenge, you can always reset a Cache for 3 and then pawn it the next turn, or you reset a Lady for free, or an Atman. It saves clicks and credits over the Test Run, so I prefer it in this build. If I had Femme in here, I think Test Run would be the better option.

Can't wait to try this. One thing I'm curious about. Why do you emphasize hitting one-costers with peddler? Wouldn't you rather use it as a workshop-esque Nasir credit dump? E.g. corp rezzes ice, instead of losing your 2c, install a daily casts and get them back later. Thoughts?

@Jeffreysaurus Totally. I just mean that if you're strapped for cash, peddler will get you money cheap. I would prioritize dumping cash into larger pieces first.

I agree with the -1 RDI -1 QT for +2 Film Critic. A lot of Shapers like Stealth Hayley might be able to get away with 1x but I think Nasir is a big movie guy.
