Blue Sun Punitive v1.0 (Augusta Book Exchange SC (4-1); 3/14

This is the version of my Blue Sun Mushin/Grid/Punitive Deck that I took to the Store Championships at the Augusta Book Exchange in Augusta, GA on Saturday March 14th. The deck performed well over the 5 swiss rounds losing only once to an Au Revoir/Snitch Criminal deck. Not really upset with the loss either as the game felt like it could go either way and there was great play on both sides of the table. The weak link of the day for me was my Eater/Keyhole MaxX deck which lost 5 out of 5 games.

I'm posting this since it bears striking similarity to: http://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/17390/cloud-cap-store-championship-3-14-2015-1st-place-b-god#22650 and I'll likely be testing a few ideas from that deck in my next version.

The gameplan for the deck is pretty simple: It's main goal is to score out points. However, if you can over-score an Atlas by 2 or draw into double punitive then you can wait or bait the opponent into grabbing an agenda and go for flatline.

While my Ice did well throughout the tournament there are pieces that I have a critical eye on.

-Checkpoint: Only saw it 1 game, in which it was completely avoided by Au Revoir/Snitch. This might be better as a second Nebula or Archer for consistancy and to shut down runners reliant on programs like the combo I lost to.

How does the punitive work exactly? You have 4 x 2 pointers ... even if you double, that's just 4 damage? Do you really kill people with this deck?

If they grab a single 2pt you have to let it go and either score out or wait for them to grab a 3.

If they somehow manage to to grab two (or god forbid do what one of my opponents did and grab 3) you laugh maniacally and hit with 1 or 2 punitives.

@Dydra Realized I forgot to tag your name in my previous comment, also added a bit more detail about the deck's gameplan to the notes above.

Ultimately the deck's performance speaks for itself -- I don't believe for a second it is the be-all end-all of Blue Sun decks, but I think in a post-O&C world its a viable direction for the ID, and I explore some possible avenues of improvement in v1.1.

@Dydra Still learning the comments section.

I've been trying to make the Off the Grid thing work for some time. Do you find that 2 is the correct number? I don't like seeing multiples, but they are quite easy to trash off of R&D. Thoughts?

@DarlingSensei Two seemed to work well for me here. Remember my goal every game wasn't necessarily to score out. That aside, in the very early game you can potentially sneak an agenda through with just something like a Hive on the scoring server.
