Iain - The Supplier

mrdudesir 638

The idea here is to be a bit mysterious with your intentions to the corp while building up a discount resource economy via The Supplier. Opening hand wants to see supplier and/or hostage, and probably one of the other resource econ cards like Kati Jones, Professional Contacts, Underworld Contact and Globosec, or Zona Sul. Logos is also a good thing to try to dig for. If you can get it out before an agenda is scored, it makes the corp even more weary to score. This version only has a surprise Medium, although I'm posting another version below that cuts Medium, Pro Contacts and some breakers and adds HQ and R&D interface, Account Siphon, Legwork, Mr. Li and a Levy for more flexibility.

I did some meddling. testing with Andromeda and more influence for surprises didn't work out, so I think Iain is the right ID for this idea. I also figured out that Professional Connections is much, much, much better in this ID than Mr. Li. So much so that it's worth wasting a hostage to get them out. Here is the latest build I have:

Love this deck, I'm testing a variant... have you the F.A.Q.s about The Supplier with Zona Sul Shipping or with Underworld Contact ?

11 Feb 2015 mrdudesir

Zona Sul and Underworld don't kick in until the turn after you get them off The Supplier. Basically, all of the "at the beginning of turn" effects for cards in play happen at the same time. If they are in play at the beginning of your turn, you can choose the order that they execute. However, if you play a card off of The Supplier as it's beginning of turn action, it was NOT present at the beginning of the turn, and doesn't activate its effect, even if you still have other effects to resolve from the beginning of the turn.

Make sense?

Absolutely, and I also found the FAQ about. In any case this deck surprise me and is what I'm looking for :)

Sir, I don't like your last change, this is mine netrunnerdb.com ( won 2 game yesterday, 1 online against HB NEXT and one live against NBN "tagstorm").

I think that everyone must change a deck to his taste and flavour, I explain my changes and the reason about they. The siphon isn't synergic in this deck; I've played "siphon recursion" decks but in the actual meta (maybe mine), the corp can return rich very quickly so I've better to do with my clicks than de-tags me especially when economy isn't a problem in this deck; plus is on 1x, I can see it when is too late. Legwork is ok, but the original Medium solution work a lot. Notoriety is good, I can think about it. Clone chip is for? Overmind? so you remove Crypsis to Overmind but using 1 card more and 1 influence? I don't think I like it. Clone chip work also for "Rex", so can be a little better, but the influence can be a problem. The interfaces are always good, in my decks I don't have space, I must rethink how I can arrange. I've changed New Angeles City Hall to Decoy, work better for me. I've added Calling in Favors, is a big-maxy-zillon-ton of credit, even in early game (ok, not the first turn :P ).

This is my PERSONAL thoughts, so isn't a suggestion, only my opinion. I'd like to play this deck because fit my gamestyle and is the reason why I wrote this TOO long "paper" here, sorry.

So, other 2 games played and winned both. I've decided to remove Medium (sigh) because lacking of , I will use a less efficient R&D interface. Now I'm thinking about a fall guy (cause I've risked to lost Professional Contacts for a Character Assassination ) and also thinking about a Crash Space to save from snare. What do you think?

Thanks for keeping the conversation on this deck going. My latest version is here:

netrunnerdb.com

The best addition I've mad is Earthrise Hotel. Paying 2 for it off of The Supplier is super efficient, and it helps when pro contacts doesn't get out and you need to draw while saving clicks for Kati or running or putting cards on The Supplier.

I think having R+D Interface and HQ interface is just a good idea. They synergize with The Supplier, so you can get them out for cheap if you want. Plus, Legwork + HQ interface lets you see most of a 5 card hand, or all of any other hand size. That ability is as much of a gut punch as a built up Medium, and R+D as another option is always great.

How have you done against NEH and PE. I think those might be a weakness for this deck.

14 Feb 2015 Oziride

Earthrise is good, but I prefer professional and for me the hostage go to professional ;) I've made some changing on my dack, check it, the dyson for globalsec help me a lot with my MU problem, so now I can easy play all my programs.

Today I win against Blue Sun, a snare kill my medium but ok, I will have to run often on his remote.

NEH is a pain in the ass, first you have to understand if is "tagstorm" or a "clean" F.A. the identity helps but not always. If they score the astro as his first agenda, so, GG, if ou can have a medium but lacking of any money burst it's hard to win, the only chance is to change playstile and be aggressive, hope in the inside job and good luck. Against PE is different, I've played a lot with PE so I know the possible tricks, but is a matter how do the "right" run. losing card is ok, you need less moneyand crypsis plus garrote is the only Icebreaker you want.
