Vampstone

I've never even heard of a game ending from the corp running out of cards, so I wanted to see if I could make a viable deck with that goal in mind.

Noise is the obvious choice for that goal, but the combo that inspired this deck is Vamp, Data Leak Reversal, and Fall Guy. Vamp drains the corp of money, always good. Also, it's a run on a central server so you can play DLR, and it tags you so you can use it ASAP. Fall Guy makes it harder to crawl far enough out of the Vamp-induced hole to trash DLR.

The Source isn't integral to this deck, but I see it being able to play a super useful part. Fast Advance is so prevalent that I like the idea of being able to stymie it. Fall Guy helps keep this on the table too, of course.

My concerns with this deck are three-fold:

I worry that I won't make enough money to use Vamp and/or my breakers effectively. Any advice on different breakers or better ways to make money is welcome.

Also I'm not sure that this deck can handle a rushing corp at all. I think anything rushed out behind Hive, event-rezzed HB bioroids, or the like will just shut me down hard. What would you do with this deck when facing that strategy? Let them have their remote and double down on milling? Is there a way to mitigate its effectiveness with modifications to this deck?

Lastly it just doesn't have much face-checking protection. I'm really not sure how I would even fix that. Then again, it seems almost appropriate behavior for an Anarch. ;)

Other cards I considered: -Dirty Laundry. I still think it might be better than Sure Gamble. We'll see. -A third Grimoire. I only have 2 core sets. ;_; -Clone Chip. I ultimately went with Deja Vu instead to free the influence, though in a vacuum I prefer CC. -Daily Casts/Armitage. These are easy ways to make money without the entry barrier imposed by Liberated and SG. -Corroder or Morningstar. Anarchs have such good breakers it seems almost a shame not to use them. But I don't have space for many breakers and I can tutor the Crypsis with Djinn as well as recovering it alongside a parasite with Deja Vu.

Love this idea XD Maybe consider Chakana as well as/instead of the Source? It does sort of the same thing, but it's a virus, doesn't get trashed when an agenda is scored, and you can get multiples out to really put the brakes on scoring.

Since you're trying to slow the corp down as much as possible I guess it'd be best to run both, you could maybe replace Lucky Find with Armitage to free up the influence. Surge might be worth a look too. Good luck with it!

Hi there again partialcharge, I'm a long time Noise player and I consider him my main runner( although i definitely don't have such affiliation to him, as I have for Jinteki). Let me give you a few thoughts

First, it's absolutely possible mill the corp to death. I've done it even on a tournament and got an achievement for it :P

Second, I have currently 2 Noise decks that I love to play. 1 of them is an ultra-aggressive "blue Noise" ( which you can check in my profile) that is a complete powerhouse , the other is a Mill deck (although without DLR incorporated in it).

The Mill deck is somewhat standart with 3x Sahasrara (gives 2 recur credits to install cards) + Wyldside + Kati Jones + Aesop's Pawnshop. The synch between Sahasrara and Wyldside is so crazy , that the main reason which I got the Pawnshop was to be able to stop the Wyldside ... but I just don't want to, because every turn comes 1-2 new viruses that I can install for free with Sahasrara =) The deck is pretty amazing, if you like milling and fairly strong. My best test buddy plays viagra hb with Biorid efficiency and such ... and against that type of decks, it trully locks you out :) not much you can do, except to mill the hell out of him and pump Kati to 20+ money, drop breakers late game and make a bunch of runs! Maybe I'll post that deck too at some point! However, if you like milling I strongly encourage you to try the combo!

On your current deck , you have no reason to not play Corroder. Every fast advance will have Wraparound (I've seen it even in HB splash) and you need to go through that. Also, since you are playing a tag me deck, you would want 2-3 (3!) Plascretes, because you will get Scorched to death :)

P.s. I'm working on a 3rd Noise deck with Chakana (with Surges) and The Source, but it's still in the works :P

Cheers, Dydra

Thanks, friends. Good thoughts all around.

I can't believe I forgot about Chakana! If I work this concept further it will absolutely replace The Source. Also, plascrete is like... duh. I think I was watching my roommate play Titanfall while I put this together, so I'm going to beg off on being distracted by giant robots. ;p

On Paricia/Pawnshop/Wyldside, I'd actually thought of that before! Haven't taken it to the table, though. Since you say it works I will definitely try it out. Even if I keep the "vampstone" concept, I think Paricia should replace Lucky Find...

Know what? I'm gonna try to merge P/P/W and vampstone. Look for it soon and let me know what you think!

Cheers, PC

Sorry, I meant Sahasrara, not Paricia. I don't even have a titan to blame it on this time! >.
