No Shenanigans (Winnipeg Regionals 4th Place)

Super Trooper references aside, this is my old New Angeles Sol (link here) deck updated for the small regionals we had in Winnipeg on July 30th. I took 4th place entirely off of the back of this deck as my Geist deck which I love so dearly did not perform that well. I love the Winnipeg meta so much, all the guys here are incredibly nice and over all it was an amazing experience.

The previous description still more or less accurately explains how the deck works so I'll just explain the changes. Since Astroscript is only a one of since the new FAQ changes, the two remaining agenda slots turned into Corporate Sales Teams and the extra influence gained gives you an extra Eli 1.0. Magnet can actually protect a server on it's own unlike the Swordsman it replaced and provides a small amount of protection against Parasites.

You just sit back, name their most frequently played card with Targeted Marketing and wait until the runner gives up trying to walk through triple stacked Tollbooths. There's no annoying asset spam, no EOI shenanigans, and no Psychographics nonsense. It's just good old fashioned Netrunner.

If you get unlucky with Targeted Marketing do you find your economy still holds out?

@The Broken Meeple Yes, but it does make the deck score out fairly slowly. Against Criminals and Shapers that tends to be fine but against Anarchs, especially the Whizzards that are still lurking around, you can get rolled over.

I suppose it comes with experience. Like against Criminal you'd likely be picking Account Siphon or Tech Trader these days. With Shaper, probably Self Mod Code or Clone Chip? Anarch I guess, Wyldside, Faust or I've Had Worse?

Yeah, it takes a while before you know exactly what to name. A good target to name is always some economy card that they can't help playing, like Sure Gamble or Daily Casts, rather than something they might play once like Faust. If they try to put you behind by stunting their own economy, that's a big win.
