So, the mu is getting a little weird, but this is about where the deck feels like it belongs. Modded is a bit better in this version. There's a little bit more passive income to assist when you don't have event econ in hand. I'm working towards a model of a deck that would have worked had things not turned out the way they did and I've made some compromises to get there, but here's what I think about the whole enterprise.

I like the turning wheel. I like it so much I'm fine dropping legwork from the build. It makes poking at centrals feel better when you miss and it assists with an extra stretch when you need it.

I like prepaid voicepad. It was a mistake to ever let it go. Of course, we have to shift expectations; we need to provide enough targets and play what would normally be a sub-par card like day job. But, lucky find be damned; day job does just fine with comet.

Out of the Ashes was cute, but ultimately unnecessary for this build. I would only consider playing it in a meta with more RP where you needed to occasionally have a few more clicks.

Multithreader is about as good as daily casts if you run every turn, and patron wants you to do that, at least a little bit. It's als onice with Turning Wheel because, hey, you have a click why not. And it's really good with dirty laundry because keeping all of our illigal proceeds off of our voicepads is nice.

But, multithreader makes us play omni drive? I was looking at the mu and just couldn't figure out a better pick. At the very least it'll help against power shutdown.

Corroder. Why worry about running out of counters, this game has enough fatigue. Snowball could be a choice if you need 2 more inf. A lucky find, a net ready eyes and you're not that bad off, but corroder is just easy to use, cheap, and it sits nicely on omni drive.

Garrote - What an awful breaker, amiright? 2 mu! 7 to install!? Only 2 strength!? But you have the money, you have the tricks, and you have the mu. And frankly, it's still a really good deal to know that if you have the money there's not a sentry that really worries you. Mongoose is cool. Faerie is amazing. But, mimic is ultra week right now thanks to CVS if you don't have perfect play. And for that reason alone, picking the card that doesn't cause fatigue sounds fine. With modded, you shouldn't ever pay more than 3 for this anyways.

Comet - You know, this isn't as good as desperado, but it's fine. There's enough synergy in this deck now. Runs are discounted enough that stringing two run events together isn't too awful. The 2 omni drive is probably a hint that comet's not "the best" source of mu, but very few other cards will let you play a quality time & modded to be only +3 cards for the turn. That means you can pretty easily not discard if you don't want to. And there's just a few extra duplicates that you could.

Torch - Because with garrote and test run/scavenge you might as well. The average cost to break a code gate is pretty damn high right now. I'm thinking about joining the "The Cost to Break A Code Gate Is Too Damn High Party". But, with torch it's an ease, and it makes your econ go further. Sentries are the other big sink, and with garrote you can sleep a bit lighter since you've got torch to help with the code gates.

No Atman - Because no mu, because so expensive, because 3 breakers is enough breakers already.

On Data Sucker - Convincing your opponent that CVS matters when you don't really care is great; but, if they don't have CVS then this helps all of your pumpable breakers anyways. I think it's great to just run up a bank of virus counters. Because not spending them means you'll have them around when you want to get into that one server to rule them all, or your opponent will think long and hard about every risk they have to take. But, sometimes you just use them because money is king (hey weyland), but only if you spend all your multithreader credits, right? Right.

This deck is a bit addictive. Not as addictive as it could have been had things gone sideways, but it's fun. Shaper has always wanted 5 click turns and I do love a good shaper control. I felt this dealt with a lot of the flak the last deck I published had to put up with. The only problem left to solve is the memory issue and whether daily casts is better than multithreader. It's probably situational.

I once claimed that Comet was the best shaper console. In an alternate universe it was. I want you to envision no MWL. Stuff your lucky finds into this and play it casually. Play a few ladies without worry. Heck run a clone chip or two for security. Maybe toss in a legwork if you've got the space. Prepaid Kate on crack, pretty much. But, this deck isn't that deck. This deck is reasonable. Maybe not competitive. I don't know or care how does in a tournament setting. But it'll treat you well.

The lack of SMC and/or Clone Chip frightens and confuses me.

I don't think there is a power in the 'verse that can that can stop Kate from making runs.
