SPECPOL 24

I could write up some long-winded explanation of how this deck works and why I chose which card over this or that, but instead I think this image sums up my experiences with this deck perfectly...

Happy running ;)

Do you feel It's a Trap is worth more than Himitsu-Bako or some other cheap barrier? H-B especially feels like the right call here, as you can move it around to defend ambushes and agendas for real mind-games. Hell, I'd rather run Data Mine over IaT, especially in Chronos Protocol.

You're missing the point. This isn't a deck for min-maxing. You want the ice pourous.

See the above description...

@SPECPOL: I was attempting to open a dialogue about a single card choice, not asking for the reasoning behind every single choice you made, but obviously you are under no obligation to answer my questions.

I apologize if you took offense. That was not the intent.

I want the ice porous in this. Never deny access, just make it hurt. The only reason enigma is there is because of how universally good it is- it's the only ETR ice in the deck. (99/100 i am going to pay the credit on tsurugi to keep the run going). I want the only mind game to be "is this an ambush?". All ice goes on the central servers, leaving the remotes naked. Every agenda I have scored with this deck has been scored naked, either by Mushin or by trick of light. It's a brutal finesse, with every remote run having a 50/50 shot of something really nasty on the other end. I'm more of a straight forward player, and I don't really do mind games

To be honest, the biggest reason I play any card is only if it fits the specific theme of the deck. H-B doesn't fit what they are doing at Chronos Protocol. It's why I don't play scorch out of Haarpsichord. It's why I don't splash criminal in Kit or Chaos Theory. The most important thing for me in this game is story. I don't care about winning- I only care about crafting an enjoyable cybernoir experience.
