The Closer [Weyland FA]

ibis 1

I've always thought Weyland had the coolest agendas because they became sources of usable resources after you've scored them. Fortunately, O&C seems to continue this trend. :)

The Deck

Titan Transnational continues the seriously impressive trend of lateral ID design within the game. I believe this ID will open up some new and interesting Weyland play most notably with the potentially daisy-chaining of Project Atlas'. With a combination of rush tactics and fast-advance tricks to score out of hand/out of deck, I think Titan Transnational is well positioned to open up a style of fast advance mixed with good ol' protect yo servers Netrunner. This decklist is, obviously, purely theory-crafting but I honestly believe that this ID, in the hands of better/smarter players :) could be Tier 1.

Considerations
  • Reliability of the token ice being rezzed on the cheap/for free is unsure. Also, the ICE suite itself will require tweaking with actual play.
  • Commercialization might be too slow, but the amount of tokens flying everywhere is unsure, so this card is also unsure.
  • I also feel I may be overkilling the tokens with 3 Shipments from Kaguya but that's a tweak that will, again, require actual playing to fix.
  • Lastly, Mark Yale! This guy... is awesome. He has a subtle, relevant ability that has obvious synergy with the ID and he also fits into my favourite class of card game cards: the "you-should-probably-try-and-get-rid-of-this-guy-buuut-is-it-really-worth-it?". He is a low maintenance card with a good rez-trash ratio and while he is active he provides the corp a seemingly marginal/conditional advantage but, over time, could equate to more than it seems ala HB:EtF. Lastly, his trash ability makes him a card the runner will be reluctant to spend time/resources to go deal with especially if he's protected in a server.
