Veni, Divisi, Vici (1st & Undefeated @ Dalfort CO)

This is the deck I brought to the recent DalFort CO, the first CO held in Dallas in quite a long time. Special thanks to Luke, Cole, Justin, and Will in the Dalfort discord for running such an excellent event. You can find my corp side here.

This deck is largely built off the Memento Mawrie list that was brought to worlds with a bit of my own spice. I love the surprising consistency in this deck alongside its’ most powerful card Zer0. As a former/current Hearthstone player the allure of getting to hit “The Button” every turn is strong, and doing so can not be underestimated. To expand a bit on my spice selection:

Divide and Conquer x2: Divide and Conquer is just an alright card, well bellow the average power level of this deck, still it’s funny, provides an invaluable out against hyper glacier in the case where we can’t set up (by accessing 3 from HQ and R&D spending 4 twinning counters) and is generally a fun surprise in closed deck list match ups.

Fencer Fueno x2: Fencer is a surprisingly good card and should be run more often. The free money is extremely flexible spending on big installs (Bahia+Maw), trashing nasty assets, or clearing out annoying spendy agendas. In addition he isn’t expensive or nesscary so can stick around or be discarded as needed. As a fun bonus I’m not supper good into NBN or asset spam and Mr.Fueno is great into both.

Katorga Breakout x1: Much like D&C Katorga doesn’t do too too much, but it provides us with 2 very valuable options in the mid to late game. 1. Katorga lets us quickly recur any piece: this can let us pull back a DJ while we were hitting the button like mad or pull back a turbine that was too expensive to install early. 2. Katorga lets a suprise come at any time: Smart opponents on an open deck list will note once both D&C have hit the bin, Katorga lets us keep that threat around while actually using it to do something more useful.
