I've been messing round with a few event-heavy Anarch builds with Comet in. I've tried Reina, but found I wasn't typically making the corp rez that much ice and I was a little lacking in remote pressure. The natural switch, then, seemed to be to jump into Valencia and throw in a few Blackmails.
I've had mixed success with the deck, it's taken down some really strong local decks and lost a few games where a slightly more intelligent play on my part would have won the game. It still loses a fair bit, though, and seems to suffer from luck of the draw more than other decks I've played!
The basic philosophy is to burn through your deck as quickly as possible. It lets you get those Eaters and Prepaids up quickly, which fuel the rest of your game. Points are often scored with a Wanton (great combo with Comet as you can immediately check archives with a Dirty Laundry or Blackmail afterwards) or Keyholing. There seem to be fewer decks running small agendas at the moment, which works in your favour; often 3 agendas will seal the deal.
Levy was in as a hold over from the slimmer Reina deck when I would often draw most of the way through; I feel like I should ditch it as I usually regret it after playing (it turns off all my SoTs and Deja Vus), but I don't like the idea of drawing and ditching a load of cards with no way to get them back! It lets me be more free and easy with my economy as I'm happy to recur those Sure Gambles and Lucky Finds.
While it seems like Crisium would stop you dead, I've not had a huge amount of trouble against it. Sometimes you can blackmail in and kill it, sometimes you can hit another server (you've got good HQ and RnD pressure), sometimes you can kill the ice in front of it. What hurts me more normally is low cost/high strength ice, things like Wraparound or Gutenberg are both pretty nasty. They need to be Parasited (as does Turing) or they just drain your bank balance with repeated Eater runs. Digging out a timely Knife against Wraparound is good too.
Also, quickly to note, the original list was +1 Crescentus and -1 Utopia Shard, I've not actually tried the Utopia yet.
I'd like to squeeze in more draw, to be honest. I feel another Earthrise is the way to go, maybe free up some influence for Quality Time. Or possibly Wyldside? That screws up my ability to play Day Job unless I also run Adjusted Chronotype, which I'm not too keen on doing. I'm not sure; I think it needs to be more consistent, but not sure how to make it so! Any comments and suggestions are welcome :)
