Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned (16th Megacity Łódź)

zombiak 118

The deck is based on the list by Andrej from Metropol Grid, although switching out Moon Pool for Nanomanagement and a splash of Ablative Barrier to recur Plutus lategame if necessary. After the first round bye, the deck went 1-2 in Swiss:

3rd: WIN against Minstrel on Control Madani Maggie. When Zwicky goes brrr and you manage to rush out 6 points (including Eminent Domain), the game gets easier; still, we went 7:6 given the Physarum+Cataloguer R&D lock later on. Nano'd out an Eminent Domain from hand but it was very close; cool matchup, 10/10 would play again.

5th: LOSE against davz131 on ToW Sebastiao. Piloted very well, hit me with a double ToW in one round at some point and getting out of the pit of despair was pretty impossible at some point; went 2:7 if I'm not mistaken. Please practice your Sebastiao matchups beforehand.

6th: LOSE against Yaba on Hoshiko. No shame in losing to the first Megacity Champ ;) first ICE found was Ablative Barrier and Rising Tide was installed a click after it was rezzed, so the scoring server was porous. Wasn't able to push out much.

On the downside, the deck went kinda meh. On the flipside, I've played against some VERY good players over the course of the day, and the deck itself is definitely still kinda fun if you want to go FA non-Nebula route. Pushing out Off the Books with double S&B and then tutoring out a Spin Doctor is always a blast. Nanomanagement might be a good include, Measured Response - people play around it anyway, so either go double/triple or no copies and profit from the bluff aspect of it. Ablative Barrier haven't fired once, ICE suite is still very much work in progress.

Huge shoutout to all the opponents I've played over the day, Toluvel & Ronja for handling the first Megacity Championships ever, and to everyone else involved - already waiting for the next one!
