I judged my first and probably last premier tournament last weekend, being the TO of the Den Hague regional. I brought a Smoke deck to the event that I wanted to practice with and to keep people with a bye entertained in case they wanted to play.

I ended up playing 7 games and winning all 7, beating Jinteki PE twice, Gagarin twice, Tennin twice and Spark once. Just goes to show Smoke is still a solid ID, when piloted correctly.

Paragon is a nice card, rewarding you for running and the scrying effect is a really fun mechanic. Psy Mike is kinda weak but it is a great feeling to run R&D with a Maker's Eye, gain a credit from Paragon, put a stealth credit on Net Mercur, steal 2 agendas and gain 3 credits from Mike. Daily Casts seems like a good include if you make room but I find it focusses too much on install runner, while you want to run often with this deck.

Depending on the meta post mwl, I might bring this deck to nats. We'll see.

What did you end up DJ'ing? I thought about including Fenris in my Smoke deck but I'm not sure that it's worth it. I would guess Steve, Los or Quetzal?

@Cluster Fox: In Sunny I go into Steve 97% of the time, unless I have money AND Citadel Sanctuary AND need speed drastically, in which case I choose Liza. Smoke has less power cards so it is more of a spur of the moment thing. I went into Reina once early game and it denied some credits to the corp, which was decent. Los is good too early on if the corp is rich and you need to set up. I went into Steve once against PE, which is nice cause you just select 2 diesel or 1 diesel and 1 Deuces.

Yeah I understand DJ Fenris in other deck, just not sure it's quite worth it in Smoke. I think I'd prefer the slot for Political Operative perhaps. But if it works, it works!

@Slowriffs That's not a bad idea actually, worth testing.

@Cluster Fox Oh, I agree actually, you can leverage DJ way better in ID's like Hayley, Geist and Sunny. I just added him because it is probably the most fun card I have played for ages.
