Peter Pan Hayley (Runner Up Calgary SC)

Meant to do this when the tournament happened, in like March. But hey, university and shit, you know?

EDIT: this tournament was in like February. My b.

By now everyone's seen Peter Pan Hayley, and knows roughly what it does. This also did that. I love this deck, honestly. It runs so efficiently, and the thought of getting a Fenris into Geist I think catapults this deck beyond Tier 0. It can get through rush. It can get through glacier. It can get through spiky kill (just play smart with your cards, and double laguna with a full hand before you run, silly billy). Deck performed amazingly, except in the finals. But that's how it goes. Overall, went 4-0 on the day, and overall 8-0 in Swiss, losing in T4, then in finals.

Tournament report (as best I can remember from 6 weeks ago)

R1: BABW Kill(?) Fairly new player, experienced with AGoT but not with Netrunner. This wasn't that hard a matchup simply due to their lack of experience. Won it handily with a few DDMs

R2: Titan FA Deck did what it should. Stopped the atlas train with a DDM, and was able to win out from there.

R3: yads Spiky Palana This was amazingly close. I only won because he miscounted credits on a punitive, after miscounting cards in hand vs cards needed for an obokata. I saw that I'd lose either way if I ran, and played it safe, and the card turned out to be an NGO, and he lost the only scoring window he had left. I swept it up soon after.

R4: Tennin shenanigans Our resident jankteki player and I got paired (dunno how, I guess everyone I could have played was playing their only other option or something, TOM software can be weird sometimes). I had to play cautiously because of obvious potential kills from him, including running a 4 advanced junebug just to call his bluff (Laguna is a lifesaver, as is levy). DDM carried through, though.

T4: Played corp deck on a gentleman's challenge, got super unlucky and lost very quickly before I could setup.

Losers semis: Jinja Titan I was incredibly rushed as my ride was planning to leave about 10 minutes after the round started for a gala event we both needed to be at. Everyone agreed that if I won my round they would postpone the last two rounds of the tournament until the weekly meetup, so that I wouldn't have to drop out. I was playing recklessly, aggressively, and fast. I think we went through about 10 or 11 turns on both sides in under 7 minutes. What I thought was Titan FA turned out to be jinja, and a DDM hit two atlas, a lucky snipe hit a hostile, and then a hail mary legwork on HQ before I scooped due to my ride got me the win.

Losers final: Titan FA (r2 opp, t4 opp) This was a janky-ass shitshow of a game. Came so close to the wire, with him trying to bait me into using all my resources, even through two levy. He almost did, but I got lucky on a run and hit the last GFI in his deck for the win.

Finals: yads Spiky Palana This was disgusting. T1 scarcity, couldn't find interdiction, had shit econ the whole time. Lasted maybe 7 turns before I just couldn't get in due to cards + econ. Absolutely brutal, and probably karma for the last tournament I played where I opened double sweeps HHN against an andy in the finals.

All in all, probably my favourite deck as of late. Extremely flexible, lots of decisions, tons of timing windows for shenanigans, and absolutely rolls HB decks. Like seriously. You can break a FC3 for 2 credits and trashing one of your 1000000000 cards that are installed. That's disgusting. I don't think I'd change a thing, if I'm being honest. Great deck, great tournament, great people. Give it a try, people!
