NBN Booming News

This is a deck I'v been playing for the last few weeks. My take on the old lovely killer combo that is NBN: Making News, Door to Door and BOOM!.

The core strategy remains the same as that which drifted through your local meta some time ago, playing Door to Door and using your ID reoccurring credits to make it a trace 3, ensuring that your opponent stays tagged and takes some damage... or uses up clicks each turn to remove those tags making them far less effective on a turn-by-turn basis. We back that up with Hard-Hitting News, News Team and range of nasty tagging ice (Data Raven, News Hound and Authenticator) to land the extra one needed to BOOM! (or 2!).

The agenda set supports the goal, using Net Quarantine for extra econ and Reeducation to make sure we have the cards in hand we need to land the big hit. Private Security Force also becomes a very strong agenda given the constant tagging, and is the perfect way to finish the runner off after a single BOOM has been landed.

If you come up against Sunny or some pesky Rabbit Hole action, we have a copy of Primary Transmission Dish to seat behind a some ice and make that Door to Door brutally effective, while Lily Lockwell lets us turn Hard-Hitting News into an additional 'fetch the BOOM' card.

This deck is effective at keeping the runner poor so they can't afford to run and at flatlining them as well. It doesn't score particularly fast, but so far this hasn't been a huge issue for the deck. Yes, there are lots of decks out there designed to defend against this, after all it was a well documented tactic a while back, but given things have moved on somewhat, I think this 'NBN Booming News' tactic needs a solid comeback now rotation has spun things up a little.
