Reina The Ice Breaker

SubTric 432

I don't play Anarch... like ever. But, I love the idea of making life hard for the corp, so here is my first attempt - so far 3-0 in games!

Basic set up uses Reina Roja: Freedom Fighter, Xanadu and Network Exchange to make rezzing and playing ice cost the corp dearly, while using Forked, Knifed and Spooned runs along with Eater to trash what ice they can afford to rez. We are using Comet to allow us 2 event based runs a turn for a single click, or allows us to event-run and Day Job in the same turn.

We add a little more tax with Lamprey, and back up our core strategy with few other cards that should all be fairly obvious. I tried to use Apocalypse too, as it rocks with eater, but I couldn't reliably set it up early enough in the way I wanted.

Given the way the meta has moved, this seems to have caught opponents off guard so far (I suspect the style feels a little 'old fashioned' to more seasoned players), robbing the corp of huge amounts of ice (or walking past them unrezzed). Games so far have gone to a later game, and I've managed to push corps into running out of effective ice (and finishing off what's left with Immolation Script), allowing me to waltz into servers without needing breakers (though 1 each of the trusty breakers is included!).

There are a few events I'd like to put a 3rd of in... I was almost tempted to make this a 50 card deck, but refrained... not because I won't work (it probably won't), but because I know I'd get shot if I posted a 50 card Reina deck on here! :)

EDITS AFTER FURTHER TESTING... -1 Employee Strike, -2 Cyber Threat, -2 Run Amok, -1 Ice Carver, -1 DDoS +1 Exploit, +2 Forged Activation Orders, +2 System Outage, +2 Same Old Thing Feeling pretty happy with how disruptive this can be now!

After more playing, I'm looking to get a few copies of Exploit into the deck. It syncs well with the whole Eater strategy and keeps taxing the corp by making them pay the inflated Rez cost again.

Still undecided on how to fit it in. Thoughts?

Made a number of edits (added to bottom of the deck description. Much happier with the decks disruptive capabilities now!
