WHAT THE HELHEIM?

Handsome Jack 1631

...Is what your opponents will say when you beat them with this hilarious deck. As soon as Helheim Servers was spoiled, I knew what its purpose was. To make the nastiest subroutines possible hit the runner. At first my mind drifted to Janus 1.0, but that's rotating soon and can be clicked through, and is also more expensive. Then I thought: How about Brainstorm? and thus the deck was born. This is not Fast Advance CI. This is not Combo CI. This is not even Rewiring Show of Force CI. This is Helheim CI, population: About 93 runners who share more characteristics with vegetables than humans.

Here's How it Works:

  1. Draw lots of cards with your colors of the rainbow.

  2. Protect Centrals with Eli's and FC3's

  3. Make your REMOTE of DEATH. 1 Brainstorm. 1 Helheim Servers. maybe a throway ICE if they Inside Job.

  4. Runner, the curious fellows they are, cleverly install a Faust [Edit: Not Faust. Faust is bad.] different program or another similarly annoying card. They run.

  5. You smash their subconscious AND conscious minds into oblivion by using your cards from HQ to fuel THE FIRES OF HELL! Your Brainstorm now has 22 strength.

  6. The runner is now a vegetable. Serve with a light mushroom puree. Season to taste.

  7. Well done! You just fried 1 runner's brain!

NOTE: Against that stupid Caldera card coming out, use Foxfire. Or something. You're kinda screwed.

If they installed a Faust, their brain isn't going to be fried... they can just boost Faust a bunch before they encounter Brainstorm so it doesn't have any routines.

:(

But I do love the combo!

They can boost..Before the encounter? I call some bull on that. But if they don't know its there yet and they run? Why would they ever do that?

@Handsome Jack: You rez on approach. They boost Faust on approach, in the same action window you just used to rez Brainstorm (the strength instantly dissipating). The encounter begins. Brainstorm gains subroutines equal to the runner's hand size. Oh look, that's zero. They walk through the strength 46 Brainstorm for no effect.

Well that is unfortunate... It still works on regular breakers though! The combo lives! Faust was a bad example anyway. I'll just have to keep that in mind when I play against it.

If you wanted to be cute and not necessarily use CI you could stick Panic Button down, get lots of money and get cards for strength boosting that way ;)

Nice!

Brainstorm + Helheim is the obvious combo, but if you wanna take this to full jank territory then you need (pls don't laugh).... Harvester!

I know this card is terrible, but honestly your biggest weakness is that a hyped strength brainstorm isn't actually giving a kill shot. Make sure they have a full hand with harvester and then maybe use something like defective brain-chips and you've got yourself a kill combo.

Wouldn't Enforced Curfew be able to serve as the kill?
