Making Friends - 7th @ MN Regionals 2017

This deck was undefeated (3 wins 1 tie) during swiss at the Fantasy Flight regional. I'm pretty proud of my pet deck that I've been tweaking off and on since Data and Destiny. I'm not sure you can call it a glacier deck with only 14 ice, but that is how you want to play it most of the time.

Card Choices:

Improved Tracers - All the ice is Tracer ice, so if you score a couple of these, servers get ridiculously expensive.

Net Quarantine - Could be a Beale, but I wanted to try it out. It didn't do as much as I thought it might, probably would work better with Midseasons.

Restructured Datapool - EoI target number 1!

Chilo City Grid - This combos with all ice in the deck, but especially with Gutenberg, and Macrophage (and Thoth/Assassin if you can afford it).

Keegan Lane - Goes behind Gutenberg or Thoth.

Friends in High Places - Used in 2 ways. Vs Ice Destruction, recurs the ice. Vs other decks, replace the Upgrades the runner worked so hard to trash.

MCA Informant - Because of Aaron.

Tournament Report:

Round 1 VS Au Revoir Ayla This game is kind of a blur and my opponent eventually made top 8 as well. Runners that can click for 3 are pretty tough to tax out, and we ran out of time at 6 - 6. Could have been anyones game. 0 - 1 - 1

Round 2 VS Deep Data Mining Ayla My opponent got set up quickly with Mopus, Adept and Savant all on Dhegdeers. Fortunately I was able to score an improved tracer and get Gutenberg out of range. They didn't have a SacCon out, so Keegan sniped a Dhegdeer and locked them out. 2 - 1 - 1

Round 3 VS Kate I couldn't figure out what my opponents strategy was. I thnk he had a bad draw or something. Pretty easy win. 4 - 1 - 1

Round 4 VS Rebirth Andromeda Things are looking good with with EoI swapping a Breaking News for Net Quarantine. Then my opponent rebirthed into Ian Stirling and emptied 2 temujins on archives. Sitting on 40+ credits, he wasn't losing for long. He had a tapworm out that died to Macrophage, and eventually his money ran out. Final score was 7 - 5 I think, very close game. Final Swiss score 5 - 1 - 2 putting me in 7th.

Cut Round 1 - Runner Loss

Cut Round 2 - VS Lock Haley IP Block is great vs Faust, and I trashed Laguna 2 or 3 times with NBN shenanigans. Unfortunately, during a Deep Data Mining run I forgot to fire Jackson to lower the agenda density of R&D. He ended up getting 2 agendas that run. Oops. He ended up with a timed win. This one one of my favorite games during the tournament, it was super tense.
