And for my NEXT trick, a fortress made of ICE!

partialcharge 178

I want to see how well NEXT can work at just throwing up an unmanageable wall of run-ending ICE.

24 ICE in 49 cards brings the chance of getting fewer than two ICE in your "pre-game" hand under 5% after mulligan. Oversight and BER can stand up some of the heavy hitters early. An early ABT has a really good chance of brining up a couple more while good ole' Action Jackson saves the unfortunate non-ICE. An impenetrable remote becomes a cash farm with Melange on the table or a place to spin up a devastatingly over-advanced Ares should the runner start to build a scary looking rig.

Not gonna lie, the 12 influence was harder to deal with than I'd like. Wouldn't mind having another Tollboth or Jackson in here. Sure could be swell to include Celebrity Gift, too, given that hands will often consist of a ton of ICE I don't mind showing or an asset/agenda they can't get at after instillation anyway.

I went back and forth on Hedge vs. Green Level vs. Blue Level. Any thoughts?

I'd go with Blue Level. Depending on the opponent, you're going to have some blank turns (where you either click to draw or click to get credits)...so may as well produce bigger burst when you can, IMO, especially in a deck like this. That, then begs the question, GDI are those Beta Tests really worth it to be aggressive with?!

Lately, I've had next to no luck with them. As far as Jacksons go, I too have had an extremely hard time trying to fit more than 2 into this idea. Oversights are nice, don't get me wrong...but the fear of losing a Wotan or Janus even mid-game is enough to make me want to substitute OAI for Howler.

Admittedly, I'm not the greatest player in the world, and I've always had issues scoring agendas against more experienced players with tutoring rigs. Any advice on the NEXT incarnation(s) I have posted would be awesome. :)
