Sub Boost is an awful card (1st Alberta Regionals

List I won Alberta regionals with. Went 4-2 in the day (one ID that we played out for fun). Runner side was a carbon copy of the decklist of the week (look here https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/42709/bin-it-to-win-it-norwich-babw-winner).

It was 1:30 in the morning. I had a 3 hour drive to reach Edmonton for regionals in the morning. Saw a midseasons sync deck (shoutout here: https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/41434/how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-the-boom-). Didn't have IP block. Played enigma and a third news hound instead of the list I was given. Don't run Sub Boost. Play a second HHN. Seriously, do it. Everything else worked pretty well for me. Standard nonsense kill deck. I don't think there's been any better experience than the power move of install-advance-advance in a naked remote and daring your opponent to run it.

R1: Jankdromeda Lost one agenda T1 to an indexing. Drew three more. Got Legworked. RIP me

R2: Andy/Leela Deck did what it should. BOOM! is a pretty good card. Sub Boost is not.

R3: Andysucker Opponent misplayed hard. BOOM! continues to be a good card. Discarded Sub Boost without playing it.

R4: ID (Andy) Played it out for fun. Was ridiculous. Midseasoned him to drain credits, bryan'd back to 50 credits. Lost. Sadness. BOOM! still a good card. Better when you can play it.

T4: played runner, timed win with higher strength. T2: Played r4 Andy. BOOM! is a good card. Finals: Was dumb as runner. Lost horribly instead of installing a polop when I had time.

Game 2 lasted 3 turns. T1 topdeck second sweeps against Andy. T2 topdeck consulting into midseasons. T3 opponent missed the boom in hand. BOOM! is a good card. Everyone should play BOOM!.

Which card would you say is better - BOOM! or Sub Boost?

@Rahrhino That's a tough one. BOOM! is such a situational card, and Sub Boost is always playable, so I'm not sure. Leaning towards Sub Boost but further testing is required.

Hi! and congratulations on your victory! I'm sorry that this comment doesn't belong here, but i am super curious on which Geist deck you used. Can you publish a copy of that one as well or maybe comment here if it is the classic Spy Camera trashable Icebreakers one?

How did you find the agenda suit. My classic Netrunner education tells me to fear it. Any thoughts on MCA informant or are you going for the mid season vs Aaron.

What Pilgrim said about midseasons and Aaron

@Pilgrim``@TrungusWungus there was no testing with the deck. At all. The only time only 5/3s vs other agendas bit me was in the ID round, where I had to feed him a 5/3 and let him get to 6 points so I could midseasons him to 0. Do I think it's the best suite, probably not. But it worked. I'd try it out first, before knocking it. Most people don't run Freedom Through Equality, instead opting for Mad Dash, and it's rare that they can ensure an agenda steal from it, so I found it to be fine.

Aaron doesn't matter. There's 6 agendas in the whole deck. HHN is usually just a tax, or a tempo hit. Not a win con. Midseasons tags them so much that Aaron is irrelevant.
