Worst of Both Worlds v1.0

OneFabric 98

Goal
To win by flatlining the runner through Private Security Force, with any necessary clicks from Jeeves Model Bioroids, Biotic Labor and / or Efficiency Committee.

Deck Construction: Choices and Cards
Vanity Project, even at the cost of 3 influence, helps condense 12 points into 3 cards, freeing up many other deck slots. These deck slots can be further categorized as follows:
1. Priority 1: tagging
2. Economy
3. Vanity Essentials
4. ICE
5. Trace helpers

Priority 1: tagging
These cards land a tag on the runner for Private Security Force to take effect. This is achieved by:
a. Ghost Branch
b. Bernice Mai
c. Big Brother
d. SEA Source
e. Data Raven

Economy
Standard Hedge Fund, and Blue Level Clearance.

Vanity Essentials
Jackson Howard and Fast Track are both important here. Jackson Howard helps with recursion; I don't want more than 6 points in archives at any time. Fast Track helps me pull out my agendas if I need to go the traditional route for a win, and even Efficiency Committee / Private Security Force when I am ready to score.

ICE
The ICE in this deck are either rush ice, like Paper Wall and Vanilla and AI hate with Turing / IP Block. The latter also helps with tagging. Enigma / Eli 1.0 also works well with Turing.

Trace Helpers and Meat Damage
Net Police should work doubly well against linked up runners, and a dead draw for runners with link 0. Therefore, Primary Transmission Dish.

How To Play

1. Turn 1
It is essential for the runner to not access R&D / HQ / scoring remote early, because of the density of agenda points. Have enough economy while installing ice over the 3 servers.

2A/B. Turn ~3-5
Once I feel I can defend the centrals + scoring remote, I would install and protect Jeeves Model Bioroids. Then, Fast Track and install Efficiency / Prvt. Force; next turn, rez Jeeves and advance 4 times. Alternatively, use Biotic Labor to get the necessary clicks, though this is taxing on the economy.

3A. Turn ~6 - 8
Set up your Net Police / Primary Transmission Dish and have enough economy; then tag the runner. Now would be a good time to deploy priority 1: tagging means, especially SEA Source.

3B. Tagging is essential for this deck's goal. If that is not possible, score out a Vanity Project for the win.

Help improve this deck please?

This deck seems to be doing fine with tagging, and economy, though just so so on the latter. The setup itself is fine, though I am worried about deep accesses that gain 2 Vanity Projects or something like that. I hope The All-Seeing I can deal with Aaron.

While this deck has gotten to the point where I am certain that the significance of pilot error increases and the that of deck building errors reduce, I still need advice and commentary in the following areas:

  1. Any tweaks or minor improvements that seem obvious but I completely missed it?
  2. Any body who played with this deck feel it should have or not have xyz, or has a huge problem in a certain area?
  3. Better ways I can use my influence to get the same effect?
  4. Problems with my strategy ( as outline in 'How To Play' )?

Acknowledgements
Shieldwall and FarCryFromHuman for their suggestions and advice on earlier published iterations. Sanjay for being there to discuss day to day problems with this deck, as well as offering specific advice on isolated issues.

History
I wanted to make a deck that uses Efficiency Committee and Private Security Force together.

After a couple of flavors, ( such as using the Next ICE suite ), I have thought about using Fast Track and focusing only the pertinent 2 agendas. Later, I thought about using Vanity Project, and hence this fork of Efficiency Committee & Private Security Force build / combo.

The current iteration version is Worst of Three Worlds 18.1 [FastTrackVersion0.1] [VanityProjectVersion4.2]. I changed the name to Worst of Both Worlds due to lack of Weyland influence.

Cool and interesting combo with all of the tagging and killing through Private Security Force + Efficiency Committee. That's something I don't think I've seen before. I'm sorry I have no advice.

I think you are a little low on economy, and you only have 1 card that tags the runner on your terms (SEA Source).

All of your assets are 1 of a kind, and will be likely killed quickly once the runner finds a breaker or two. With no Friends in High Places, that 6 influence spent on assets is gone.

My suggestions, drop Big Brother, Primary Transmission Dish, Net Police, Data Raven, All Seeing I & Ghost Branch. Hello, that's 10 inf gone and you can now use ETF. With the remaining influence you could look at including better methods of applying tags, such as more SEA Source.

Your next issue is trying to score out 2 4 point agendas. Your only hard end the run Ice are Vanilla, Enigma & Paper Wall (and IP Block if they are running AI or a double Turing server). The rest can either be clicked through or pay to beat the trace.

I would look at trying to mix in some more taxing ice, as well as agenda protection (Ash as an example) as well as including more economy to support your game plan.

@CactusJack,

Thanks for commenting =] That's fine, thanks letting me know what you think!

@Oooer,

  1. Right on the assets. Will take this into account.
  2. I want to see if I can make a viable deck list without ETF!
  3. Good point...this might be a scenario where Wall of Static might be useful.
  4. Ash...Great idea! Works well with the trace support I have. Will see if I can put more taxing ICE; what would you recommend? For the economy, perhaps Adonis / PAD Campaign?
