Code Gates are Perfect

I have a soft spot for faction 3/1's and cards people say are bad (Red Tape) and this deck is an attempt to turn that into something workable.

Play is pretty simple, hopefully put pop-ups come out early and you build some money with your assets, sometimes the fear of sentries will keep you safe to help build your giant glacier.

Encrypted Portals can be easily slipped out as an asset if your opponent isn't checking every remote. Code Gates get bigger, and stuff gets more taxing and you may even make a few credits!. Score a Nisei behind a big ETR code gate (or DNA Tracker at a push) and Caprice and/or Red Herrings (this used to be Ash but Rumour Mill has made him less useful). You normally want to score out with a Future Perfect protected with a Nisei token and an upgrade. Alternatively 1x Encrypted Portals and 3x Nisei or Philotic also works.

Will-o'-the-Wisp is great for putting their one useful breaker at the bottom of their deck and hopefully opening a scoring window, this always goes on R&D or HQ.

Sundew has to be ICE'd, unless you're trying to make the runner poor to open a scoring window in which case putting it out naked isn't the worst thing if there's spiky ICE on every central. Campaigns and Clinics just get plopped out unless the runner is on top of you in which case Pop Up's are nice to cover them and add a tax when you're 2+ deep on your centrals.

Celebrity Gift is a tough one as you often don't want to play it until the runner has spent time and effort hunting for and installing breakers but the impact can be huge if they're on top of your assets.

Cerebral Static is there so you don't auto lose against Employee Strike out of Whizzard and to crack down on shaper bullshit

The ICE mix has varied over time and DNA Tracker is a new and amazing addition. Red Tape is great to cap off a huge stack on R&D, it does see regular play and has won me games. Viper is currently questionable as runners are extremely rich with high link so paying the trace isn't uncommon but the only card I'd currently replace it with that's natively Str 4+ and 1 inf is Hudson 1.0, a second Lotus Field and running 1 inf under would also work.

Interesting. Have you thought about making room for Ark Lockdown? Perhaps dropping the Tollbooth for another DNA Tracker.

probably not as Will O' The Wisp puts stuff back in the stack and there's limited trash/damage effects in the deck. Targeted Marketing their code gate breaker is is an option but I'm still testing Cerebral Static.

Encrypted Code Gates are so much fun! :-) Like the idea of using RP. I used PE some time ago - netrunnerdb.com

Lots of luxury influence. I'm surprised you didn't spend 3 on Fairchild 3.0. It seems perfect for this. On theme and excellent in RP!

I like Portals a lot too. Unfortunately, I think you'd need a stronger solution for Houdini and to some extent Gordian if you wanted to bring this to a GNK or something. Obviously Wisp helps, but I think most times you'd encounter those good decoders is in Shaper, who can SMC their breaker right back. You could try to slot a Batty+Cobra combo but that's tricky. Thoughts?

I have also included a Paper Wall to much delight in my Code Gates for Days decks. :-)
