StarlightCrusade 104

NETRUNNER I HATE YOOOOO!

Not for your Janky Combos, Not for your Endless Technicalities Not even for the Fact that I test my decks over and over again and waste a ton of my time.

No, this time it's different. This time I hate you because You won't let me tell the story that I want to Tell!

Why is it, that if I want to make a deck about mediator, that this priest has to be a womyn? And why, when I try to build this deck, is there No male runner with whom this deck makes any sense who can render Madame Starlight Crusade Funding merely a symbolic representation? (Okay, you can make a case for Palestinian Christians, but it would be tricky...) And WHY OH WHY DO THEY HAVE TO VISIT THE DISCOTECA?!!!!! I don't mind Staying up late I guess.

Ranting over...

Anyway...

Basically, your rig is huge, and there's a lot of cards to get it set up faster: Wyldside, Artist Colony, and Magnum Opus are all cards that I wouldn't mind seeing in a starting hand...even one of the three is a great way to try to get the pieces you need, when you need them. And Logos is GOLDEN (literally).

The core of your economy, of course is the Starlight Crusade Doubles that is so badly treated on the Starlight Crusade review page. Maybe it's bad, maybe it's not. I just thought it looked like a cool idea. That being said, Starlight Crusade Funding is NOT USEFUL without Adjusted Chronotype! LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION!

Jesminder Sareen: Girl Behind the Curtain is a great defense against death, especially since this deck is weak in other ways. Kate "Mac" McCaffrey: Digital Tinker would of course save you money, but you're so rich once you get the engine going that she might just be gilding the lily. And, for early game economy (and thematic elements), you could of course go with Nasir Meidan: Cyber Explorer. I don't own Nasir, but I could easily see him being more of a liability than a help as the game went on. Maybe we can Gene Conditioning Shoppe Jesminder's ability into him. No? Well, I guess if any card could do anything it wanted...We'd Play Something Else
