HB Big Ice - 1st Place Pastimes (Niles, IL) Store Championsh

Arkidents 74

The basic premise of the deck is to make lots of money and to make the running spend a bunch of credits to make a single run. While the runner is farming money to make that next run, your window to score opens.

Sorry, I'm not the best at describing my decks aside from the basic function. XD I will add more to this later.

I can speak of the sheer horror of playing against this deck. It's a fairly standard HB glacier deck, but each ICE, asset, and operation are selected to gain the most advantage against the runner. Once this deck gets up and running, it is nearly impossible to stop.

I played against this deck at the final table and having to run through a Tollbooth, Ichi 2, Pop Up, and Eli to get to R&D was just brutal.

Why would you let them afford those things? Seems like you'd have to be up against some pretty slow decks to let this get that far ahead. No one was running criminal-shutdown?

I played against Kate Big Rig, Andy w/suckers and fix breakers, Kate, Darwin, Andy w/suckers and fixed breakers, and CT big Rig with SoT Siphons. When I played against both Andy's, I focused on icing up HQ then R&D. Neither seemed to want to go through Eli and Tollbooth and an unrezzed ice.

x3r0, I was unlucky that he got off an early Gila--I never did manage to stay ahead of him on the money game, and if I knew then what I know now I'd have played my SOTs and Siphons very differently.

Like Beanstalk in here? Fire ABTs?

Id drop melange or beanstalk for Blue level clearance.

I usually don't like drawing cards in this deck so I didn't put blue level in the deck. The Melange is invaluable in this deck due to the burst economy. Also the runner usually goes out of their way to trash it, even through a three deep server. I will try out Blue level though.
