Gagarin Public Construction

This deck has been fun to play, wins a decent amount, and I'm pretty proud of it, but it probably needs some more work to really shine. I don't know if others have had similar ideas yet, but here I present the first deck I've published on NetrunnerDB: Gagarin Public Construction Company.

The crux of the deck is Mumbad Construction Co. and the Public Agendas. Dedication Ceremony and PAD Factory can both add counters to the Construction Co., and as long as you have the credits, you can easily score any of the Agendas (Even the 5/3) out of hand with a quick transfer. If I understand the timing structure correctly, then you can install, transfer counters (a paid ability), and score before the runner gets a window to act and so he or she can't use any Clot shenanigans in the middle of the process.

Gagarin Deep Space: Expanding the Horizon seems like the best choice of ID due to it's access tax. Asset based econ with some Operation support seems to work well, and the Encryption Protocols make it even more expensive to trash. Clone Suffrage Movement lets you pull back a Diversified Portfolio or the Dedication Ceremony (or Hedge Fund of course). If they don't trash it, you'll be rolling in cash. If they do, it costs them a run and at least 3 with Gagarin, more with encryptions. I'm considering taking out at least 1 Mumba Temple and adding 1 Diversified Portfolio.

I went with Mumba Temple and a small selection of Ice because I usually only try to protect centrals and the server with the construction company with this deck. As far as Ice selection, I went cheap and efficient for the most part, but the oddity for many will be Tyrant. I felt that PAD Factory makes it playable, as it can add counters while unrezzed. I'm still not entirely happy with this choice, but it does give Faust some trouble as well as skirting under D4V1D. Tour Guide is a star, often having 6 or more subroutines, but dies instantly to Parasite. I liked Architect because of all of the assets in the deck and the free install, but with so much mimic I think I might rather have another ETR Ice instead. Any suggestions on the Ice front would be appreciated.

Let me know what you think!

Nice, I've been playing around with something very similar using 3 x Reversed Accounts - great synergy with Dedication Ceremony, PAD Factory and puts the brakes on their trashing sprees by a lot.

@Xethik wouldn't you perhaps be better suited cutting the clone sufferage and just putting in the additional copies of dedication ceremony?

@CodeMarvelous It's mostly for the other events. It's nice to be able to pay 1 to get a DP back when you've got 6+ servers.

@CodeMarvelous The Clone Suffrage Movement is also able to pull back Hedge and Diversified when I don't have a reason to boost the construction co right away or when I'm short on credits for the transfer.

I've been playing a modified version of your deck and loving it!! I'm a noob and would love to hear your thoughts on my changes:

-1 of all three agendas

+1 Government Takeover

Also, I took out Architect for Reversed Accounts. And added a few Hive.

@CodeMarvelous CSM is awesome in this deck!! Absolutely loving it.

But... there are only 6 operations in the deck?

Am I taking crazy pills?

You only need one and then you keep recycling it. With Jackson and aggressive drawing to keep the asset spamming it is no problem finding them.

I don't doubt that. I just wonder how the operations help you win. All they really do is get you more money.

If this was a flatline deck you could recycle scorches. If it was true fast advance you could recycle your fast advance enablers.

I just don't see it being worth the influence when you only run 6 operations.

@Zeus What's the plan to score the Government Takeover? The construction company only works on faceup cards, so you'd have to have a way to protect it and the ice is not the most expensive to break.

@Myriad It's a fair point. but I think it works. while there aren't many of them, the operations are generally useful and worth having again at the right time. With Clone Suffrage Movement I can pitch Dedication Ceremony or Diversified Portfolio if I don't need it at the moment, and essentially "draw" it for free when i do need it. I've considered adding Fast Track to grab an agenda if the counters are ready on the company.

BTW: One other situational trick I've found is using Mumbad Construction Co. to add subroutines to tyrant if needed to stop or at least tax a critical run. Not always worth it, but it can really hit Faust if they're over relying on it. Getting happier with Tyrant in here.

The plan is don't score Government Takeover. It opens up two more slots for assets and lowers your agenda density to protect against r&d digs. I never want an agenda in my hand. I want to draw one on my upkeep or during first two clicks (chances are even better with Jackson) and immediately score it from hand on 3rd click.

Here's what I've been running.
