The Operative (Kayjays SC, 2nd seed, 2nd overall 6-0)

So I just came in 2nd at a 16 person store championship event in Melbourne. I managed to surprise many people (most importantly myself) by actually doing well with (and going undefeated) an untested silhouette deck.

The event itself was 4 rounds with a cut to top 4

First round: Sam (Haarpsichord FA) Sam tried to pull off the haarp shell game thing with 2 agendas with just a wraparound on hq - Corroder was in hand and led to me exposing one agenda and being able to determine if that was the one to steal or not. I believe mid game had me running HQ to see what was happening in remotes so I could save inside job/ddos for agendas Game ended up being closed with with keyhole through gutenberg > data raven on R&D for the last 2 points

Second Round Brian (NEH FA I think) I don't really remember this round that well. I think I just got really lucky/Brian unlucky and the points went in my favor as they do sometimes.

Third Round: Matt (New Angeles Sol kill) This was a rather interesting match that almost got away from me due to money concerns ended up throwing down an account siphon despite targeted marketing at one point just for money. Game was actually won by not running archives and throwing down a career fair > hades shard to steal the winning archives agenda from right under the nose of jackson howard

Fourth Round: Jian (New angeles psycokill) Jian managed to land a relatively early midseasons off a explode-a-palooza score which really put me on the back foot. But despite that I stole a beale from hand using sneakdoor. Many many sneakdoor runs (and another agenda) later he was forced to FA out an agenda the moment it hit his hand allowing me to get keyhole with logos and hit the R&D that had only a little engine that I knew he couldn't rez on it clsoing the game out.

1st elim round: Sam Again (Haarpsichord FA) This time Sam was more prepared for the expose effect but still was able to use it to good effect to find where I could safely go/pick out jacksons as the lack of etr ice he was running let me go tag me (as this time I knew he was not on scorch The final turn was somewhat interesting as on my last click i hit astro with keyhole turn before. he was able to FA out another agenda to install with TS into an existing remote. I had the inside job (and a ddos) in hand. It was discussed afterwards that we had both forgotten the last logos trigger and thus had the inside job regardless

2nd elim round: Fourth Round: Jian (New angeles kill) Ddos + Account siphon + highstakes job turn 1 is a good opener. my last click was to draw a card leaving me on 3 cards and 2 tags with jian on 1c. I should have cleared tag instead but in this case was not punished and jian did not recover.

How to Play Run early, run often, find a weak spot and hammer it. Use logos to select cards that will hurt the most in the current situation. Try your best to remember every little bit of info you see and work out what that means to the current game.

Changes: Faerie doesn't seem to be pulling it's weight () could probably be mongoose + femme or the like Also despite being the most logos card of the day I think Dirty Laundryshould be a different card that is good to get you out of a credit hole (Bank Job and Armitage Codebusting) come to mind

I don't think I used it at all. In fact I barely used breakers all day.

I've also taken to a GNK for 3rd place of 10 went 2-1 this time without breakers in the 2 wins. (I did get lucky on the pairings and get 2 very new players thou).

Lost game was against Jian again on food coats this time.
