No Ice, No Problem (2nd Place Sage Games)

With all the orange decks out there, it looks like everyone forgot how to play against PE. So i decided to blow off the cobwebs on this old deck and try it at a Store Championship. Results were very surprising.

Your first thought would be "where is your ice?" Here is the secret...You don't need it! The ice that is in this deck is actually only really used for centrals. The trick is bluffing the hell out of the deck.

This deck may seem easy to play but it does take some practice piloting but it's more mind games more than anything.

Hello @hutch9514! I am new to competitive deck building...I was wondering why you had a Melange Mining Corp.? Won't it be trashed easy?

Also, I would also recommend Thomas Haas to confuse the runners and gain out of it :P

I'm confused by Housekeeping here - 1/3 of your deck is agendas; it's not going to last long, right?

I like it. I've been thinking the same thing about combatting orange. How does the econ feel? It looks light. I know you wouldn't need too much to run the deck but rezing Komainu and having that trashed would be w huge tempo hit. Othere then that you don't have much to protect R&D other than spikey things. How does the Housekeeping work out? I would think with the number of adgendas in the deck it wouldn't stay out there that long. Wouldn't the influence be better spent somewhere else?

Some other cards to think about:

Cerebral Overwriter - amazeballs, need more but the 3's is expensive

Back Channels - might be good for econ, though with the threat of Ronin out there leaving an advanced trap still might get run.

The Future is Now - a nice 3/1 if you're into that. Might be better than Profiteering and Clone Retirement.

24/7 News Cycle - good when you're going for the attrition or kill. Fire off Chronos Project again at will to screw MaxX: Maximum Punk Rock and general Clone Chip bullshit. Also can be used to fire off Philotic Entanglement for the kill.

Architect - because it's hard to kill and must be delt with

Cortex Lock - because they won't need to install many programs against this deck and it's a little harder to break because it's outside of Mimic range.

Marcus Batty - Put him behind a Cortex Lock and watch the funzies ;)

Museum of History - with 54 cards you can recycle those Snare!'s for maximal punishment.

Hostile Infrastructure - protect things from getting trashed out of R&D.
