Deal with the Devil 3rd place 401 Games Toronto (29 players)

Here's my Yomi deck that, with the help of the very reliable and aggressive LARLA Cutlery Noise, took me to third place.

Faust is a deal with with the devil for a reason. Ever since Damon Stone pointed out, accurately, that the answer to Faust is damage cards, I just decided to go all-in on Personal Evolution. This deck won three games in swiss, and then 1 in the top eight cut. All the losses were to skilled play and really good hard counters (Leela & Beach Party Kate s/o @pankoescolar).

The list is inspired heavily by Elusive's 'Bag of Tricks' deck, featured in his article on Yomi Play on Stimhack, which I highly recommend reading before you pilot. My big changes are dropping the Eli's for Archived Memories and the addition of Crisium Grid, which I desperately needed in the case of hard counters like Keyhole MaxX and other criminal matchups. The Punitives only worked once, but I'm certainly enjoying these over the alternative (which is a singleton Scorched Earth and Cerebral Casts). Especially helpful if you want to take the appropriate risk and score out TFP early in the game to put pressure on your advanced remotes.

Generally the line of play is always the same: put a lotus field on R&D to punish anarchs who rely on Faust (making those snare accesses a 6 card turn), so you can turn on the multiple score / neural / ronin kill. IHW is a problem, but you do so much individual net damage over the course of the game that when it's time to kill they might have already used two.

Tactical players are loving the power of Anarch right now, so why not just say to hell with tactical play and go full yomi?
