Cybernetic division - hand size decimated

khorne666 6

This is a deck made with the help of haiku80. The idea is to reduce the runner with ridicolous hand size then watch him running to his death, stealing an agenda even and then punishing him. Self-destruct chips scorable with biotic labor, fenris e defective brainchips in order to insta reduce his hand size. Then let him steal an agenda and go for the kill with punitive counterstrike. It's a deck that should do his job quickly, I don't think it can keep it up in late game.

@khorne666 thanks for quoting!

I think this deck can handle a casual game, but it's hardly a tier 1, mostly for its surprise effect that you can keep in a tournament league. Scoring 4 agendas is not an easy task, even with Biotic in.

Have fun with it!

Love the idea! But I don't think you really want 3x Chronos Project in this deck--1x, sure, because it's a counter to a bunch of decks (Prepaid Kate, MaXx, basically anything running Levy AR Lab Access) but you aren't doing enough damage to justify all three. I would consider putting in some combination of False Lead, Gila Hands Arcology, or The Future is Now.

Defective Brainchips is also probably less than ideal--the only brain damage in the deck is Fenris which only really has one shot at landing the brain damage, and if you draw the current after the fact it's probably useless. If you want extra brain damage, swap these for 2 Cerebral Overwriters--I love having both Vanity Project and Cerebral Overwriter in the same deck because of the bluff potential that it provides.

Blue Level Clearance is also probably not a good call in Cybernetics Division--the lower hand size for the corp means the risk of overdrawing is that much more likely.

Guard is also just not a good card. It's 4 to rez, but only 1 to break with Mimic, and Inside Job is just not enough of a threat to really justify the ability. Also, you want to lull the runner into a false sense of security--"Oh, he doesn't have many sentries, I don't need my killer yet" and then you hit them with the Fenris. I would probably trade the Guards for some cheap barrier--even Wall of Static is better.

yes I agree on Chronos Project but i fear mostly Trope rather thant Levy AR Lab Access. this probably because i'm scared of the Account Siphon Emergency Shutdown Inside Job etc. recursion of the runner. And Trope is awesomely good at it. Defective Brainchips subject you are right ...only Fenris to do the job here. I like your idea of Cerebral Overwriter and Vanity Project bluff :D Guard to me is fundamental. Inside Job is one of the most scary, efficient and powerful cards the runner can use. It forces the Corp to have at least 2 layers of ice, that because even in the early game he can steal an agenda that has just one ice to defend it. It saved my sorry ass more of one time. Perhaps is just a matter of meta : I'm not seeing lotsa Mimic being played in mine. It forces the runner to use Datasucker or other cards in order to support its lack of "raise my strength ability".
