Scorchobiotics *Nordic Championship 2nd place*

Crazimir 79

The hybrid FA-Scorch kill-deck I brought to the Nordic Championship in Copenhagen this weekend (63 participants). It performed well. 4-2 in Swiss, 2-1 in Elimination. People often mistook it for straight-up Astrobiotics or Butcher Shop, resulting in them dying to Breaking News/Midseason Replacements into Scorch/Traffic Accident or getting left behind at the station, just missing the Astro Train. The meta was heavily dominated by Noise - and to a lesser degree by Kate. The deck performed excellent against Noise (4-1) and so-so against Kate (1-1).

I prefer Corp-decks with multiple strong paths to victory - and this deck has that in spades. Brutally efficient - NBN in a nutshell.

Hi Jens! I was the Swede you knocked out in the cut. Congrats to your 2nd place finish.

As a Butcher Shop player and Noise player I was really impressed by your meta choices with this deck. It was kinda horrible to face all three of your cyberdexes, in addition to architect. In Noise hevy meta ( which you seemed to hit in your swiss as well ) this deck seems very strong.

My imps were indeed very sad.

Good job.

@Reutermo Dunno if my beard is wicked, but I sure flatlined on your Cortex Lock!

@Warpstoned Thank you! I spent many hours pondering the meta and honing my decks, but I was surprised by how many people chose Noise. I knew, of course, that the deck was well placed to combat Mr. Virus, but it is primarily designed to beat Kate and Clot, the nemesis of fast-advance.
