Batty's Green Thumb

This is a deck that I have been working on ever since Biotech: Greenhouse was released. I piloted a similar version in Tulsa regionals with good results (missed the cut due to my crappy runner showing). With the release of Marcus Batty this deck got a nudge in power level that I think brings it up pretty close to tier 1.5. If you've not seen a deck like this before, the idea is to score out a Future Perfect or a Nisei Mk II on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th turn. The economic impact of being able to score an undavanced 4/2 or one advanced 5/3 so early on the game without spending any money is huge. That means more money to rez your ice in your remote and more money to play the psi game to score it. It also means less of a tempo hit so you can install and score another agenda soon after. You don't need anything fancy on the remote to score out. A lotus field is nice but a Bako or enigma will do the trick. I'll even do it with Eli if I have a caprice in the server because if they decide to click through it, they'll probably only get one shot to win the psi. The Excalibur can also be used for a similar affect.

I bounce back and forth between the Biotic Labor and 2 Blue Level Clearances as my last 4 inf. The BLCs can really help you burn through your deck and keep the pressure on in the early game but if you don't win fast, they aren't that great to see later. The Biotic always seems to come in handy though if you can afford to play it. You can score an MK II from hand using the Greenhouse flip, land a devastating chronos project from hand, or score the last 2 points with Philotic out of hand.

The cyberdex is there to mess with datasucker (which Kate will try to use to deal with Excalibur and susano) and has the added benefit of being clot protection if you wanna score out of hand. It also is helpful to stifle big medium digs.

The ice suite is a pretty standard suite which works well against Kate who is huge in the current meta. The one Ichi pairs well with Batty for some program destruction but normally I'm using him as a 4th and 5th caprice to end the run on the remote. You can also toss him on centrals if you have a weak one that needs some back up.

I suspect there might be a better use for the 1 inf I'm spending on Green Level Clearance (Anonymous tip or sweeps week maybe?) but I'm not entirely sure. The deck might need a revamp after film critic hits the shelves this week. Time will tell.

I like the deck. I'm going to test it out. thanks. :) I plan to drop an Eli and the GLC for another Ichi 1.0. Drawing an Ichi is important to threaten the runner. An Ichi before an EtR makes Batty SO much stronger. as for the second card to replace make it a 3rd Batty. I've been running 3 Batty/Caprice in my RP deck and it's stupid good. I'm never tired of seeing him. Sometimes he's just another Caprice, but that's usually the difference between a score and a steal in a strong remote.

If you are looking for a 1 influence card for this deck, there is a 6/4 agenda that would just love to be advanced four times in a turn.

@Heinrich I'm super excited for Vanity Project for multiple reasons. This deck being one of them. It's also a great Mushin target.
