Don't run advanced cards - 2nd Place GNK, undefeated Corp.

(The secret is, unadvanced ones aren't much better).

I went undefeated as corp on the day. 2nd place on strength of schedule, so enough to get that lovely alt-art Femme. I beat Kit, Kate, Noise and Chaos Theory (plus 2 more Noise in side games). 5 Flatlines, 1 agenda win.

I had immense fun playing this deck. I've been an NBN player since I started Netrunner, and NEARPAD brings a similar sense of enjoyment. This is a hidden information, shell-game style deck.

The general rule with this deck is to Mushin Cerebral/Junebug, even Snare! If the runner doesn't take the bait, who cares... Trick of Light will let you fast advance meaningful agendas like Gila, HoK or Philotic at the right moment.

My first game was won as follows: I was on zero points, and my opponent (Kit) was on 5 (1x Fetal, 3x 1 pointers), no sweat. I had 2 traps on the board with 5 advancements between them. Hand had Philotic and Clone Retirement as well as 1 Trick of Light. What would you do?

I install, advance, advance the Clone Retirement. My logic was as follows, if he steals, he must win on that turn, if he doesn't steal, I win next turn, barring a feedback filter. So, I leave it on the table, and even though my opponent finishes his turn with 5 cards in hand, I install, advance and then Trick of Light the Philotic to score it for 4 damage + 1 damage + 1 for the Clone Retirement to flatline. That is what this deck is about.

SanSan can allow for a timely Philotic too, and if you suspect Clot is on board, rez it first and IAA a cerebral. Go Hollywood by shaking your head if the pop the Clot ;)

Speaking of, Clot isn't a big deal, because runners simply can't install it every time you advance something.

Neural is a 1x, and I'd consider a second, because it's really useful to bring the hand size down while hopefully avoiding a 1x I've Had Worse. (same principle as Traffic Accident in Butchershop). I really like 3x Pop-up and 3x Gila as an economy package. You don't necessarily want to dissuade running anyway. Many turns will be Install Cred Cred, or Install, Gila for 3.

I'm always looking for feedback and discussion on decks. If you have any advice on Ice, influence spend, Agenda spread, etc., I'd love to hear it. RP has pushed PE to the wayside, but there is so much fun to be had with this ID.

With just 3x Hedge Fund for instant economy, how did you manage to keep enough money to consistently afford the Snares!, Cerebral Overwriters, and SanSan City Grid? Do you just hope you score a Gila Hands Arcology and double click for credits once a turn? I guess MaxX, Reina Roja, and Criminals in general aren't huge in your meta because Account Siphon would have consistenly ruined your day. Could you fit a set of Celebrity Gifts in?

Money was never an issue on the day. Only once did I drop to a credit level where I couldn't threaten a Snare! (3 credits), but I still had enough to play a Psi game for Psychic Field, or trigger Cerebral/Junebug. Criminals were almost non-existant on the day. There was 1 Geist, I believe that was it. The funny thing is my runner deck (Eater-Keyhole/Vamp Val) would absolutely wreck this deck if it got 1/2 useful cards early. I didn't make a meta call, I just built a deck that I thought would be fun to play. Now that I've tasted success with it, I want to see how to make it work competitively.

As for Celebrity gift... I was originally running 3 and another Fetal and Neural for a 54 card deck, but threw them out (don't have more than 50 sleeves in 1 colour). Didn't miss them on the day, but I think you're right in saying that Siphon and denial would give me a major headache.
