Turing Complete 2.0

poorhaus 412

This deck is fast and taxing, as only HB can be. Good purple cards plus Nisei and Tollbooth. Some classic plays:

  • Install ice, install in server, ELP. is it a Caprice? Ash? Jackson? Or your first two points?
  • Install in server with ice, advance, install second piece of ice. Is it an NAPD behind two Elis? Hope you've got 12 creds. Or is it an efficiency committee behind gear check quandaries etc that's going to set me up for the win?
  • Install ICE, install in server, ELP. Is that an Adonis or the game?
  • This deck is regularly at 20-30 credits within 5 turns. If there's no threat of clot, Biotic can close out the game. Even if you're worried about clot, this is ETF. You'll have a 2 deep remote with an upgrade in it. Fast advance through that and it they clot it it'll be safe and sound!

Turing presents weird problems for most rigs. ELP gets rid of its three click side hatch for runners. And, especially early game, you're usually happy if they spend three clicks and three creds to trash that Adonis you made one cred installing. Victor, Tollbooth and Turing all tax David counters too. You're not stoked to see David but might as well get those counters spent!

There's definitely some tweaking that needs to happen here or there but this is a very fun and decently competitive deck. Build a remote and install credit credit into it all game. Sometimes it's a Caprice, sometimes you score an agenda. Money, good cards, and speed win you games.

I like your idea. Must try.

Do you think about switch Enhanced Login Protocol to Blue Level Clearance? Faster card draw and more money.

I haven't tried it. One BLC might be good. but ELP is a win card- it often makes it mathematically impossible for the runner to get into your servers. I'm loth to trade it out for an econ/draw card.

Why do you have to constantly play hb decks that make me think that I can bring it back again! Would you mind me sleeving this and trying it this weekend?

Not at all! I'll miss the tourney though :( Let me know how it does on the day.

Well I figured you'd be there. I'll give it a go and report back, also what is your plan for the committee? No FA shenanigans so just money? No gila and stuff to play off it, I know HB 2/4s are awful but it strikes me as a "because I need a 2 pointer"

Yog + Datasucker looks like it wrecks this deck :( which is really growing in popularity now that Net-Ready Eyes solves the Lotus Field dilemma.

I recommend at least 1 barrier that can't be clicked-though, as well as 1 Interns. Interns gets back your protective upgrades, trashed ICE, and even Adonis in a bind.

@Kharack You'll get scoring windows to install advance it. If you score it, take a 6 click turn to Jackson up and get ahead of the runner in board state. This list is all about being faster than them in credits and clicks. Efficiency is awesome as a 2nd or 3rd agenda and can really set you up for the win. In an emergency use the extra clicks for creds.

@HexNet Yeah, all code gates hate those but it's not as much of a problem as you think. The Turings are on remotes, so it's much more likely going to be Architect or Eli protecting centrals, helping shut down the tokens. Plus each turing costs one or two tokens. With a Caprice or an ELP you're stoked they're burning those up.

That said, I'd love it if Quandary were a barrier. I'd probably run Icewall instead if it were in faction. Will keep noodling on it. Like many things in this deck, though, the key is to just be faster and richer. Score 2-4 points then retrench and purge. From there you may be able to fast advance, especially since Stealth Andy is the worst for Yog/NRE and is unlikely to be able to clot.

why so many code gates? you could play wall of statics and markus 1.0

Wall of static is a contender for rush. Not sure Markus is. I could throw him in for a victor maybe. Much less taxing in credits and clicks though.

3x WOS instead of quandary is worth testing. Its a pretty big tempo hit to rez early though.
