NEH Fast Advance - Moncton, NB Regional Winner

ArcticLancer 158

Honestly, not a lot to say about this one. This was a list I found on here a month ago that I liked, so built and tweaked myself. It's a pretty standard sort of fast advance, and I think there's some new life for the playstyle with the prominence of Butchershop variants. Many people I've played against start very cautiously because they aren't sure what you're playing, and you can often get enough of a lead while they try and figure this out that it leads to a game win from your tempo.

While part of what I liked about this deck originally was the inclusion of Crick, I'm not sure it is actually warranted. The odd time it comes up is wonderful, but truthfully it's been very rare and that's 3 influence you could easily spend elsewhere. I also feel the deck would love another asset or two (these could be DBS 3 and PAD 3), but I'm not sure what I'd drop to make the space. Cyberdex Virus Suite has been a wonderful inclusion, what with on-demand virus purging you can shut people down when they least expect it. A nice silver bullet for decks that hinge on Incubator or Hivemind combos, a great reset for the odd Medium-dig, and a nice out on Datasucker or Parasite when it counts.

For those curious, the event saw an attendance of 26 participants, and this deck dropped two games - one a very close loss where I almost won scoring out all 3 NAPDs (Ugh ...), and another where I was just hideously unlucky and lost turn 3 to randomness.
