Mythical Breakthrough

After some discussion of '@Satellite Uplink''s recent deck, I put together my own Mother Goddess deck. Played a version a couple of times yesterday and found it suprisingly strong. Might swap GLC for Crisium Grid to defend vs Keyhole etc.

Plan:

  1. Pick the greenhouse

  2. Score, score, score. Excalibur caprice, or excalibur chimera are both great servers. You are all about that Nisei. Excalibur + nisei token = score.

  3. Biotic as plan B. Could go down to 1 as you can generally score out of the remote.

Fairly basic rush, but seems suprisingly strong and very fun to play.

I like it.

I played my version last night and found that the Blue Sun version was more frustrating than it was helpful, which I didn't expect and was thoroughly disheartening. This could be the better route.

Questions: Is Biotic Labour better than just sitting SanSan behind the Mother Goddess? Is Snare! important? There's no Levy University here to find your Ice and you seem very dependent on clicking to draw stuff.

@Satellite Uplink Thanks, the San-San point is a good one. I originally had a small kill package that the biotics would help with, but I realised I would never choose the brewery. In terms of drawing, the deck isn't hugely dependant on mother goddess as excalibur can do a lot of the work as can other ice early on.

The singleton GLC though is sort of a concession to the desire for slightly more card draw. The decks flexslots are the subliminal, Biotics, and arguably the snares, although they do enable connectivity fee which is handy. I was actually thinking of a singleton interns to get Caprice when shes trashed from RnD.

Anyway, glad you appreciate it! It also got me thinking about a CI deck where you fast track agendas to hand, out #Patch #Atman (and #Knight) and then slowly score out (but even I would describe that as janky, whereas this maybe has a few legs).

On further reflection, I think it's definitely worth trying -2 Biotic, -1 Subliminal, -1 Snare; +2 San-San, +2 GLC. The issue will be whether there's the economy to pay for the San-Sans.

I played around last night, but wound up with something very similar to what you already have - I think I basically just dropped Snare! for more economy.

I did build a version that was more radically different, with SanSan and Daily Business Show but then gradually talked myself out of all the changes! I'm not sure Cyberdex is important - there's a couple of slots there to play whatever you want, really.

@Satellite Uplink I liked the look of your list, but I still haven't tried my version with San-San yet. DBS seems good avoid RnD lock, but my games last night convinced me of the value of Snare vs medium digs.I've decided you probably want mother goddess over RnD vs Anarch, as Excalibur can pull it's wait in the remote. I haven't faced any wanton, but it could be a problem with Eater. Seems to be mostly a 1 of in fairly specific decks though.

On a side note, Immolation script was a threat and made for a very interesting game (slow but eventually won through Breakthrough). I think Bako just got slightly better, firing the ability ~3 times to do some serious work. Also MHC is probably just better than subliminal. Thanks!
