The Sky's the Limit

This isn't a crazily odd deck, like my Andy Librarian, or an experimental one like the upcoming Prof Swiss Army. Rather, this is just a simple heavy glacier deck that does the job, does it well ... and has a couple of oddities.

It uses the Astro ICE to steadily reduce the cost of keeping out the runner, focused on the Root and the native advancement token in BWBI to make advancing things cheap to the point of ridiculousness. One scored GRNDL will put you in the money for the rest of the game, if you can keep your Root protected.

The tricky bit here is that this isn't a typical Glacier, with big, slow agendas. It couples massive ICE walls with faster, lighter agendas - all but one of which that can be fast-advanced for points, using the tricky Trick of Light to turbocharge your advancement.

Hostile takeovers score out of hand, Project Atlas scores with trick of light - and that's enough to win. Scoring a Superior Cyberwalls makes your ice that much more brutal, while the Utopia Fragment (if you're lucky enough to land it) can make your advancing ICE practically impossible to steal.

Ash exists to protect vital assets or one of the big agendas during a scoring window, and Jackson will give you a measure of protection for your archives, giving you a place to dump things if you're agenda flooded.

So far, the deck tests well, with the Root being the one vital asset that makes it all possible. Still not sure it's tournament ready, but this will (with a little more testing) be going to my local store tourney next week.
