NEH - Tricked out for Clot (1st Oxford Regional 09/05/2015)

ApeAsylum 252

Trick of light and shipment from San San end the paid abillites window clot installing with Clone Chip and SMC. Cyberdecks for pre installed clots but only if the first astro is scored. if you don't find that early astro get your space ice online and start taxing.

after the astro is scored every install could be an agenda and triggering the clot at that point is very hard to know.

Play fast and loose with advancing ice. No need for too much money.

No Hedge Fund?

No need for hedge. The deck runs low, if your on 3 creds with a wormhole out and a hedge in hand. I'm not credit credit hedging, I'm advancing ice 3 times. Mostly I wasn't above 5 creds all day (trick of light is 1 cred, so 2 creds to score the first astro)

great list and congrats on the win! I've heard people say Leela being pretty popular in the UK. Did you face any during the day and how did it go? Can be a pretty bad matchup for space ice obviously

@aphid yes it's a tough match-up indeed. I've put an exexecutive bookcamp in now, I went 1-1 against leela. The game I lost was close, I think I got siphoned 4 times. It just requires a little more thought but it's not impossible. I just dont give the opportunity to bounce my space ice if it's advanced (advance twice just for the TOL play and rely on my wraps and enigmas) but if I see her when we sit down it does make me a little sad.

Cool, EBC is probably a good call in general to be able to fetch blacklist/jackson as well, -1 builder -1 Cyberdex and +1 EBC +1 ice?

I'm deciding what to loose, I was considering -blacklist - builder + EBC + enigma

Played with this a bit, facing headlock reina and clot ppvp. Having 3 blacklists is really good I think. Do you think the CVS is strong enough for a 2-of? Although I can see it enabling that first astro for sure, if you got setup for ToL.

it's a shame the deck doesn't have play for fast track. Maybe I'll make room for a one of.

Thing is you need three combo pieces for this deck, instead of two (fastrobiotics). Having a fast track can not hurt.

@ApeAsylum - Having always been an NBN player myself - when Blacklist came out, I was very excited to think that there had to be a deck built around it and Cyberdex that could make NBN top level competitive against Clot. When I saw your deck here a while ago, the idea of the space ICE just seemed so obvious and I had to try it.

In 3 tournaments since, with this deck as my corp, I've scored 4/5 in the Galway regional, 5.5/6 (1 timed draw when RP opponent took 45 minutes in first match) at the Bratislava regional and 3/4 in a local shop tournament this past weekend.

The only change I've made to this deck and tried out is to remove the Mother Goddess as I don't think its good enough. At a cost of 4, I think it is too expensive for what it does. Personally, i've replaced it with a Data Raven. This does two things. First, it makes people think you're ButcherShop and they can slow down or go fetch Plascrete. Second, unless they're going tag-me (no-one does this early) then it is very taxing to keep clearing the tag you pickup. Against anyone playing just Mimic, they can't run it unless they can guarantee beating the trace. Even an Atman at strength 4 is a poor solution as none of your other ICE are the same strength! I've found anyone with an asset economy just avoids the server altogether!

@aphid - The one game I lost this weekend showed me how tough this deck can have it when playing versus PPVP ClotKate if you don't draw the Cyberdex. I'm thinking of dropping either a Blacklist or a Marked Accounts for a third Cyberdex - it really is that good versus what is one of your toughest (and most popular) matchups.

All in all, I believe that this setup is definitely an under-rated tier-1 deck. Thanks for sharing!
