In Soviet Russia, Wyrm eats you!

Wookiee 90

I know this deck is janky to the extreme and doomed to failure. But I want it to work. I want to take it to a game night, and pull it out, and beat someone with it, and have everyone just cry quietly to themselves.

The theory, here, is Wyrm + Parasite. 3 Clone Chips, 3 Deja Vu, 3 Parasite = (theoretically), 12 uses of Parasite. Combined with Knifed, Spooned and Forked, that's (again, theoretically), 15 pieces of Ice that can be destroyed. Combine that with 3 Blackmails, and you could well get 7 agenda points. Right?

What is the deck actually doing?

First and foremost, it's getting Wyrm on to Personal Touch. Then it's getting out an Ice Carver and Datasuckers, and playing Scrubbed. Then it's throwing down Net-Ready Eyes. Ideally, Blackmail is allowing you access during this setup window, or at least threatening it such that the Corp is playing slowly, and holding/JHow'ing Agendas.

Once the Rig is in place, you start running. You're playing with a 2 strength Wyrm. You're encountering Ice at -3 strength (as long as it's not a Lotus Field or Architect- then your Net-Ready Eyes + Yog/Mimic gets you through). You can immediately Parasite destroy any Ice that's 5 strength or less. 2 credits or a Datasucker token per additional Str puts almost any Ice in your reach.

And once you have the Wyrm engine going, you can drop a Yog or a Mimic and transition to straight up running - you're still hitting Ice with 4 strength breakers and the Ice is -3 strength to start. Ideally you're paying for your minimal costs with Badpub and Cyberfeeders, such that you're spending at most 1-2 credits a run once you're out of Parasites. And, in theory, you're hitting at most 5-6 pieces of Ice across all servers, because you've eaten all the rest.

This deck won't really work until Net-Ready Eyes. The ability to add +1 after the fact is critical, especially as you'll need to shift that to Yog or Mimic at key points in the game. NRE allows you to be flexible enough to use Ice destruction for most of the game, but occasionally use the fixed suite.

Thoughts are, of course, absolutely welcome.

I think unless you're going to include Planned Assault or some more aggressive card draw then you might as well just forget about cutlery. The chances of you drawing it at a useful time isn't very high. Parasite recursion seems like it should be sufficient.

Maybe put in 2x Special Order instead of Net-Ready Eyes so you can get to your non-AI breakers easier if you need them.

Other than that, nice deck! It looks like fun!

I might be missing something but how are you encountering ICE at -3 strength? I think your planning on having 3 Ice Carver but its unique so you can only have 1 installed at a time.

Scrubbed is -2 to the first encountered ice. So not all the time, but once at least!

And I waffled on the cutlery. I had an Eater to start, but that didn't fit. Maybe I'll cut them and throw in a Knight or two or a Femme.

Herp Derp for some reason I was thinking of Scrubber when I was reading your description, that is why things weren't making sense lol

Pulled all 3 cutlery for 3 Same Old Thing. Works with Blackmail, and provides extra Déjà Vu if you really need more Parasite
