So You Wanna Go Fast?

BTrain 2971

So you wanna go fast, kid? Let's go fast.

I guess you've gotten wind of that new Anarch resource, the one that rejiggers you down to your genes? Couple of hotheads have been bootlegging it around down in SanSan and the thing's so new even those burnouts haven't settled on a name for it yet. So for now let's just call it Hard At Work, ok? Not the best, but it'll do. Now this puppy is gonna run you 3, and it's 2 influence a pop, but ooh baby does she kick! It'll get you wired up all the way down to the molecular level. How wired up? How about "The first time you lose each turn, gain " kinda wired up. Now we're cooking with Diesel, kid.

So you get yourself up set up with one of these new resources, then what I want you to do, I want you to head down to see the folks at Starlight Crusade Funding. Yeah, I know. They give me the heebies too, kid, but you did say you wanna go fast, right? Then stick it out okay because these new-agers are about to make your life a whole lot easier.

All those events you're packing, a lot of 'em is doubles that make you cash quick. And now, you're not paying the extra to play 'em! How's that for a sweet deal? Between Lucky Find and Power Nap alone, you're making yourself a pretty pile of credits, especially once you dig out those Prepaid VoicePADs I threw your way (speaking of digging, start snooping around the corp's Dirty Laundry for even more fun). And see that Test Run? Fish out your big breakers, use 'em for a turn, and send 'em back to the top of your stack, because next go-round, just shout Eureka! and bring 'em right on back.

What's that? Not fast enough? I like your style, kid.

Tell you what, just for you I'm gonna double up on the double-doubles here. Take this newfangled Comet and you can really redline! That's right baby, I'm talking playing two doubles on your very first click! I'm talking Indexing straight into a Maker's Eye to bring that uppercut, or why not follow up with a Legwork if you don't see anything and you need to jab at HQ instead? Why not Diesel and then play exactly what you need once it comes into your hand?

So ya see, kid? Stick with me and you'll go everywhere fast.

Yo @BTrain, pretty cool stuff, would you mind posting in the OP exactly what "Hard at Work" does so that people don't need to go external?

@TechnoZ I mention that in the first paragraph. Hard At Work is a substitute for the as-of-yet unnamed Anarch resource that reads "The first time you lose each turn, gain ".

Hey @BTrain , my first idea was also with Starlight Crusade Funding and the new anarch event. Comet is an awesome edition in such event( double) type, however I have some comments looking at this deck in particular.

First you have 8 double events in total. Considering that Power Nap requires at least 1 event in the heap, so it nets as much as Easy Mark (and that is considering the Starlight Crusade Funding is setup).

IMO, you need to go heavier on the double events. Also, Same Old Thing looks great, as in any event priority deck ;)

Cheers, D

@Dydra I agree about the efficacy of Power Nap in this deck, but I feel like once it gets going it'll fuel a lot of fun shenanigans. I do think the deck could benefit from earlier, more stable money though, and some initial thoughts are to -2 RDI, -1 Dirty Laundry, +3 Sure Gamble because it only gets better with Prepaids. Granted I haven't played this deck at all - I plan to proxy it sometime soon - so this is all just tentative (Chaos)theorycrafting.
