Keep away v1.0

Wookiee 90

This is my attempt to build a reasonably straight forward RP taxing deck. I suspect it's like a lot of other RP decks, but I'm trying to avoid looking around on this one, so that I can have a deck that I built entirely by myself.

The obvious plans are to make it super hard for the Runner to do anything. NAPD and Future Perfect protect themselves, and can often result in wasted clicks. Nisei breaks the Runner's will and allows for scoring. Jhow, obviously. Caprice Nisei to make even successful runs wasted. ELP so that they're spending 3 of their 4 clicks just to get to a remote server, and because every RP deck should really have ELP.

Mental Health and Sundews are the primary economy, and as a bonus have a high cost of trashing them. Celebrity Gift is hugely efficient, and there's no real "Surprise!" factor in this deck, so showing all 5 isn't that big of a deal. Hedge Fund cause it's a corp deck. Interns will probably be used to recur all of those, especially if the Sundews get trashed early.

For Ice, I wanted mid-cost Ice that was effective. Enigma and Eli steal those last clicks. Lotus Field and Wraparound are workhorses against a ton of things (fixed + datasucker, Eater, Kit, etc). Komainu and Tsurugi are taxes on the runner's hands. They're expected to go over centrals, because those are getting run every turn. I'm expecting to Ice R&D and HQ 2-3 deep, and the remotes 1-2 at most, so 16 Ice seems enough.

The Shocks are there to add additional wasted clicks checking them, or simply to throw in to the Archives to make running Archives to avoid RP a costly maneuver, even without Ice. Ideally, they'll also make Runners nervous about every access after they've seen it. Generally, the Shock! is intended to be played out, left for 1-3 turns to see if the Runner is going to check it, and then installed over, tossing it in Archives. I consider Shi-Kyu for that purpose, but 1. Shi-Kyu are accessed once and then removed and 2. Given that it's all 2 and 3 point agendas, Shi-Kyu is going to have minimal impact on the end conditions. 3 FP is still a win. 2 FP and anything else is a win. 2 2 points and 1 3 would take an additional score, but I think the constant and recurring cost of Shock! (especially in a longer game) is a better fit.
